on whether you will keep your season tickets, or dump them because of the donation program? I know many of you season ticket holders are probably on the fence expecially if you're in the high donation area's. Our tickets are in the new donation area Section 143 which will cost us next year an additional 300.00. We've have made the decision to keep them. When the kids were home we carried 4 season tickets. We would've still kept them. A win against a very good Missouri team makes me wonder if that would peak the interest of season ticket holders that are on the fence about renewing.

No impact whatsoever. My enjoyment of having season tickets is only partly related to the success of the team. It's more about being with friends, planning each week's activities and making memories with my kids/family/friends by taking them to the games. I will continue to be a season ticket holder unless the expense gets to a point that I cannot justify it and it has not reached that (yet). Even with the recently announced hikes.

Not a hard decision at all. Re up. Tix are still cheap compared schools. Can't have a big ten program if you only want to pay Mac prives

Zero impact. For years all I have ever heard was how the University is not committed. Commitment costs money and here we are, committed. Still a great value and great times.

NIU season tickets are $110, so I'd bury that one liner in a hole and leave it there for a while.

A win is frosting on the season. A loss is wait till next year. It will have no effect.

If it does, as I often say, "Goodbye".

Originally I was a little concerned because of my lack of reading comprehension. When I originally read the notification I thought that the three years of increases were additive. When I reread it and realized that it wasn't, I was so excited I wanted to pay for all three years now. You can tell by my excitement that it had zero impact on my decision after I understood what it said.

No impact. My family is done after 15 years and many years of single game purchases prior to that.

It sounds like your situation is very similar to mine. 600 next year is do able but win or lose i will not be able to muster the next 600 the year after. my hope is that Norwood reverses the increases for a time but understand that if he continues on with the following 2 year increases i will watch from home.

I have actually been thankful for this decision as it is a very large contribution right now for my average income. I am thinking of ways to use that income( I actually pull part time positions to pay for such spending) and thing come to mind like trips to away games or to vacation spots(paying back my wife for all the years i dragged her to the stadiums)

but to the original Q...win or lose wont change my mine at all it is a financial decision.

Win, drink beer. Lose, drink beer.

I like this guy.

No effect on if I renew. I will not renew. I have 4-tix and the increase is too much for me at this time considering I have to deal with constant conflicts with kids sporting events etc. I've come to terms with it. Will still hit an away game or 2 and will still hit a single game or 2. Makes more sense for us. But, the outcome of the Citrus Bowl will not impact the decision.

Not me. But beating Mizzou might sell some new season tickets, which should have been their focus all along.

No impact. I will renew regardless. I'm also adding 2 more seats regardless. And I'm contributing to the facility fund again next year regardless.

Zero. My only decision is if I keep all four seats and move to a lower zone or to keep two of my seats where they are.

win or lose I am still not renewing, I think the largest non-renewals will come from families. It is hard to justify that large of a cost per game for most anyone under 13-- next year would be possible but by 2017 my family of 5 tickets plus parking would be around $3000 or about $430 without concessions per game--much higher than the current $230 or so per game. Although I am looking forward to a great year for them and will try to make all of the games with varying combinations of my kids. However now I will not have to eat any extra tickets and I look forward to the saved money going to a bowl game. I wish nothing but the best for the gophers and hope they sell out all of the tickets.

Win or lose, I'll renew my 4 next year. I really want a win for the program and to represent the BIG, but I'm about as big a Homer as you can get when it comes to the U.

Lame. Renew your tickets in a non-donation section and your "family" will even save some money. There are no bad seats at TCF. So irritating!!!!

Are you implying that he made up having a family?

Never said that. My point is there is no excuse to cancel season tickets. There are plenty of great seats that don't require a donation. The fact that his "family" can no longer afford tickets implies he is in seats that require a donation. Any true fan would renew his/her season tickets especially given there are a lot of seats that do not require a donation.

1. There are not a lot of seats that don't require a donation. It's about 10% of the seats. 2. Using quotes the way you are implies that something is there that doesn't really exist. 3. There are plenty of excuses to cancel season tickets.
