I'm not looking at just today's game (can't because of conditions) but throughout the season it seems as though there are a ton of under thrown balls. I think we have the receivers to beat the coverage deep but I don't think our QBs can get it to them on a regular basis.

I have to agree. Underthrowing receivers has been a reoccurring theme throughout the year.

We're just not delivering good long balls. Poor QB play, it has nothing to do with the WR's outrunning the ball the ball needs to be delivered earlier and thrown better.

Very true...I forgot about the underthrow to Barker to the post again until just now. He was really open, but had to slow down for the ball which was tipped away. Recurring theme this year...

I don't think it's about arm strength. Gray certainly has plenty to get it down field. It's just about accuracy. Remember, Shortell completely overthrew Crawford-Tufts in the Iowa game that would have been a TD.

I think that was Engel, but the point that Gray didn't put it out there for him to run under stands.

The one you're remembering was Gray to Engel, the more egregious one I think the comment was referring to was Shortell to Barker on the first drive. That one really wasnt a deep ball though.

Gotcha. I must have missed that one.

I don't think our wide receivers are aggressive enough going after the football. Someone please teach them to work back towards the QB, and go up after the ball instead of waiting for it.

Think theres many cases where thats probably a fair comment too.

Underthrows the deep ones and overthrows the flat passes
