per the Wisconsin State Journal:
During his weekly news conference Monday, Andersen mentioned how he sat with Kill during a courtesy van ride to the airport after the Big Ten meetings in Chicago in July. Andersen said he peppered Kill with questions.
“I’m not going to sit there and talk a lot when I get around coaches that I have respect for,” Andersen said. “I’m going to see if they can give me something that can make me a better coach.”
Andersen was asked if his respect for Kill was heightened by their shared experience of rebuilding a program. The short answer was yes.
“He’s a tremendous coach,” Andersen said. “A lot of respect for him and his program and what he’s done in his career.”
