Who's up for a rematch with the Buckeyes?

I'd prefer to avoid them every year during the regular season, thanks all the same.

Why not? Take care of business the next two weeks.

That's dream 2. First dream 1 - play the Badgers on the last weekend for the axe and the division!!!

He means in the big ten championship game...and are you now the ghost of Studwell55?

I mentioned this to a fan of tOSU after the game. he replied "I hope not, as it wouldn't be good for us"
I asked him to clarify, and he referred to their playoff chances. What a ******-bag

That's cute that they think they have a chance.

1. Alabama
2. TCU/Baylor
3. Oregon/Arizona State
4. Miss St.

Yes, I'm assuming FSU loses tonight.

Ohio State has 1 good opponent left on their schedule. They're done.

Well he is an idiot then. If we get to the championship game, that means we will have to beat NE and WI so wouldn't we be ranked close to the same as if they had to play either one of those teams?

There is still a shot though. Alabama still has to play Auburn who could have three losses after tonight. Miss St. still has to play Ole Miss. Arizona St has to travel to Arizona at the end of the year. It's entirely possible a 2-loss team beats Oregon in the Pac 12 championship.

What happens if the only 1-loss teams in the country are TCU, Baylor, Ohio St. and Florida St.? I think Ohio St. could get in over a 1-loss Florida St.

I think a 2 loss SEC gets in regardless. TCU and Baylor both over OSU if chaos ensues, and a 2 loss ASU that beats #2 Oregon gets in over OSU. And I'm not so sure a OSU gets in over a 1 loss FSU. Miami is way better than Virginia Tech and FSU had an infinitely better schedule. FSU played 1 cupcake game. OSU played 2 and reside in the worst division in football and a crossover game with Illinois (Yes the B1G East is worse than the ACC).

OSU's got a terrible loss and just a wretched schedule. After we fall out of the rankings, they will have played 1 team in the polls. One. Two after the conference championship.

You're probably right, I really hope it does happen so there is a ton of controversy either way.

I don't agree about FSU though. If Wisconsin and Michigan St. wins out, and OSU beats WI in the championship, they will have two wins better than FSU. After today, FSU's best win (by ranking) will probably be Louisville who is barely in the top 25. Both Clemson and Notre Dame will probably be unranked next week.

I guess it just depends on what the committee values more: a stronger overall schedule or more wins over top opponents.

Ya, OSU or FSU would be a tough choice I think. I would like to see the Big Ten represented, but I don't have high hopes given the national perception.

I just think the top of the Big Ten is better than the top of the ACC. Their second highest ranked team is Georgia Tech. Plus Ohio St. is just playing a lot better than Florida St.

They have a good chance. Mississippi St can still lose to Mississippi (who's out for sure). Alabama can still lose to Auburn (who's out for sure). Either can lose to Georgia or Missouri in the SEC Championship game, which means at best the SEC sends 1 team. FSU is in. Oregon is in. TCU and Baylor right now are both in, but I expect Baylor to lose again. And TCU showed tonight that any crappy team can give them a game (as they almost lost to Kansas). In fact, they will not be top 4 this week as that close win will drop them below Baylor.

Or being undefeated defending champs...

Ohio State still has a decent shot. Still so much can happen. TCU will lose to Texas, that one I'm sure of. FSU living on the edge every week vs. mediocre opponents. I don't trust Baylor. A 1-loss Alabama, Mississippi State, and Oregon are the only locks, and they all have difficult games ahead of them. If FSU finally dumps one, that would leave at minimum 1 spot available.
