A case could be made for any of these 4.

A case also could be made that I need to proofread.

I think the winner of MSU/Michigan this weekend takes it ... and I think Michigan wins that one. Cousins isn't the same quarterback this year that he has been in the past.

Cousins definitely needs to play better. MSU has plenty of playmakers on both sides of the ball but if Cousins doesn't play up to his ability, neither will Sparty. He's been very pedestrian so far, especially with his decision-making, pretty surprising for a 5th-year senior.

I guess a lot of MSU fans blame their new OC for the drop in productivity for Cousins; they think he's not putting Cousins in a position to succeed as well as Treadwell did. I think we know some things about new OCs :)

I know one Sparty fan. She says Cousins is a f*cking idiot. She's cute, so I don't argue.

Gotta think MSU is in the driver's seat now. Only thing is that they have to travel to Lincoln, while Michigan gets the Huskers at home. I could easily see a situation where MSU has one division loss at Nebraska, Nebraska has one division loss at Michigan, and Michigan has one division loss at MSU.

Sparty definitely has a leg up after Saturday. They've won the first 2 games of their 4-game gauntlet (@ OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, @ Nebraska), with the schedule softening up significantly (including Gophers & Indiana in East Lansing) after that.

No matter what they do vs. the Badgers, if they go into Lincoln and beat the 'Huskers it'll be difficult for MSU to blow it. They'd own the head to head vs. Michigan & Nebraska, with really the only (realistic) potential wrinkle being losses to both Iowa and Northwestern within the division.
