Charles Buggs

Edit: polls don't show up on my phone... I'm being sarcastic because I don think anyone on our roster or radar. First round talent isn't abundant. Example: Mbakwe didn't even get drafted.

Thought that was an interesting tweet even though it's just one random guys opinion.

NBA seems to draft on potential not necessary how good a player is i.e Zach Levine, Shabazz Mohammad and Cody Zeller. Mbakwe made Zeller his bitch couple years ago. Levine came off the bench for the most part at UCLA.

I am assuming the person who voted other thinks Nate Mason will be the next first round pick?

I'll go out an a limb and say Gaston. Who knows.

Honestly, I thought of Konate first when I saw this thread, but all of the newcomers are such unknowns, especially the foreign guys

In all honesty, I predict none of these guys will be 1st round picks. In fact, I'd venture to say that none of these guys will be drafted at all. Doesn't mean I don't like our squad, because I really do! We have a great opportunity to make the tourney and win a game or two.

Recent history is not on our side, and none of the current guys on our roster have legitimate prospects of being drafted in the future. Also, none of our recruits are necessarily nationally heralded players as of the past year. Who knows, maybe a guy can prove me wrong and really break out in college ball with the Gophers. I certainly hope somebody emerges on our roster!

Kinda off subject.
I'm always impressed by Buggs size and athleticism. Saw him jumping around and shooting yesterday. He's got the physical gifts to be successful, wouldn't be surprised if Pitino is forced to change his perception of Buggs as strictly a PF and play him at the 3 sometimes.

Edit: I think when Pitino proclaimed Buggs strictly a PF he was underestimating the size and strength of the Big 10's players coming from FIU... Or underestimating Buggs ability.

Gameday I like your post and hope someone proves you wrong also.

I had the same thought. If Buggs can give us minutes at the 3 the rest of our depth looks pretty good.

No one, with the right to change my mind on players who have yet to play in a Big Ten game.

Coach P said Lofton has the most talent of any one in the program,so I'll go off that

I think Eliason could potentially get drafted. He has the size and he's a good athlete with potential to be a solid rim- protecting big man. Still a long shot, but it's possible

The next guy is going to be someone out of the class Pitino signs this fall.

I agree if Iverson got drafted no reason EE can't

Maybe Hollins will have a huge come back Senior season and knock our socks off.

I think Mo would get drafted before EE based on his offensive ability, but as you said both are long shots.

There is no way EE gets drafted. Not athletic enough, over rated defender, and terrible on the offensive end. Mo will be the starter and EE will be there to give Mo a breather.

Anyone that is interested to put money up on EE getting drafted, I'm in on that!
