The rule is in place for the following reason.
They only want people to move up if they make a long term commitment

If you’re eligible year 1 you could have teams moving up in sports for 1-2 years to try to make a run for free publicity and then move back down once they made their splash.

The rule is in place.
The school knew the rules.
The players knew when they were recruited.

It’s awesome they are winning

Don’t they need to get approval from the NCAA when requesting to move down? Put a timeframe on when they can even request to move back down. Like they have to stay at that level a minimum of 5 years.

I know they all knew the rules. It’s a stupid rule IMO.
