"In the fall, Minnesota signed three new recruits for 2014: power forward Josh Martin and guards Nate Mason and Carlos Morris, with one scholarship left to spare.

But after a few unexpected mid-season twists, the Gophers now have two more scholarships to use"

I wonder if Pitino is one of those guys who'll go after a lot of overseas recruits. Any chance he'll beat the bushes for guys we've never heard of?

Possible, his dad never had trouble getting overseas recruits. More likely we'll be getting some transfers (hopefully the kind that can play right away). April 16 is the date, so should be hearing some news soon.

I wouldn't mind seeing him get a Juco or transfer PF. We have talked ad nauseum about our hole at that position, and I think there is a limit as to how much we can expect Hulk to do as a freshman to plug it.

With 3 spots still left open I would like to see the Gophers use two of the spots for good quality high school players. A center that can be developed behind Elliason and Walker next year so in 2015-2016 we are not throwing true freshman to the wolves of the Big Ten. Having a guy who has been around for a year would be nice to go with a true Freshman or possible JUCO. The other spot I would like to see go to a guy like Eubanks or Piper who can provide depth at OG or SF.

The final spot can be used for either a transfer or a surprise signing if a top talent becomes available because of a coach leaving a school or being fired.

I'm guessing he has mom, dad, and the neighbors looking for graduate transfers as we speak.
