That's one thing you have to give to the Gophers. They don't shoot themselves in the feet and that can make a big difference in a close game.

Yeah, that's something I've noticed as well. He has to get the engine warmed up early, and can be pretty streaky as a result. That's pretty common among freshman QBs, though, so I'm not too worried about it long-term.
