If Gray and Shortell got hurt, who would be the guy taking snaps?

And what about next year?
 

For this season I would assume it is Parish or Foreman in the 3 spot although it has never been said one way or the other.

Next season the depth chart will probably go Gray, Shortell, Nelson or Foreman with the idea of redshirting Nelson unless things go horribly wrong in terms of injuries to the guys in front of him. This is all just speculation though on my part.

It would pretty much have to be Parish at this point. Frankly, I'm still pretty surprised that they didn't redshirt Shortell and only pull him in if they needed to. Parish's skill set is a much better fit for this offense. Apparently the coaches didn't trust him enough to have him be one play away from seeing the field. If he couldn't crack the top 2 as a RS Fr. with a new coaching staff and yet another "better" recruit coming in less than 2 months, it seems to be a foregone conclusion that he'll transfer to a non-BCS or I-AA school and still have a couple years of PT left after his transfer season.
