Which senior will be the hardest to replace in 2016?

KJ. No other right answer.

How many times did they throw at Murray tonight? He literally shut down half the field today.

Agree. Murray is really good, but I feel like he is more easily replaceable with the players we have behind him. Really concerned about who will step up at WR next year - seems like Maye got almost every clutch first down this year.

+1.
EM31 is awesome. EM31 controlled the game. He won't get fanfare because CMU just avoided him, but he was awesome. Still, KJ1 will be very hard to replace.

Murray. He literally takes away half the field.

KJ turned into a really good WR for us this year, but he didn't do anything until the 2nd half of his junior season. I wouldn't be surprised to see Eric Carter step into his shoes next year and perform pretty well.

1. Murray
T2. Maye and BBC.

Like many teams Central Michigan rarely challenged Murray today. We finally got another glimpse of what a healthy, ball hawking BBC does when teams won't throw Murray's direction, just like last year. They were a great tandem at CB who complemented each other well.

Maye impressed me as the year went on. His route running really improved. I'm with the others that think Carter could step into his role next year.

KJ on the field. Mortell off it.

We are going to miss all of them but Maye is the one that concerns me the most because there is no obvious person to replace him at this point and the young receivers have not exactly shown signs of having bright futures to this point. Murray and BBC are also going to be really hard to replace but given this staff's track record with DB's I am willing to believe they will find suitable options back there. Far less confident in their ability to find/develop WR's.

Totally agree that off the field Mortell will definitely be missed.

Ugh, your little initial-number thing is not going to catch on.

Murray because of his ability, but with Maye I'm more concerned about a significant drop off

Eric Murray - locked down his side of the field. Mortell next, NFL punter. Did a great job of changing field position and pinning teams deep.

I voted Murray, but I can see the argument that the best player graduating won't necessarily be the hardest one to replace. Maye was money all year at WR and there wasn't a lot of help for him there.

Has to be Eric Murray, as stated above he shut down half the field against a very good passing team today. K.J. Maye was money all year though, he's a close second.

Says a lot how they weren't throwing at Murray....but my vote has to go with KJ. Really improved as the year went on..and in an area of need...great bowl game tonight/last nite.

For all those dissing the bowl game....it was a great event for the team and outgoing seniors....and even us diehard fans.

Go Gophers.

KJ was the heart beat of this team this year but without Murray this would have been a really bad year.

Campion would have been more important had he played more this season.

we are in need of some better OL play

Stunned that people think the Gophers can't replace five touchdowns. Eric Murray.

Losing two starting senior CB's is pretty huge no matter how much playing time reserves got due to injury. I'd say that replacing one decent WR is easier than replacing two all-B1G CB's!

After voting for Murray, I immediately regretted the vote.

After yesterday's performance by Mortell, 4 punts, 46 ypp, 4 inside the 20, 3 perfect holds - I have a feeling he's going to be the toughest to replace.

I said Maye because i think that our DBs will step up and replace BBC and EM. Maye was clearly the best receiver we had and got the yards when needed. It will be tough to replace but hopefully someone will step up.

I voted for Mortell because I have no idea who will replace him. I saw enough flashes from Carter, that I can see him replacing KJ, Myrick and James at the corners is an easy call, punter is TBD.

Myrick was looking like a Murray clone but faster before he got hurt, particularly in the Purdue game and an NFL draft pick.

The last time we had a reciver as productive as KJ was Mckight. Has to be Maye.

Claeys called Murray the best player he's ever coached. He stood out in all aspects of his play, including being the surest tackler on the team which is hard to find among DBs. As much as KJ improved as the year went on -- almost no drops in the second half of the season -- and his production was vital, I think we will have a go-to receiver next year. We won't have a shut down, possible first-round NFL corner.

KJ Maye turned himself into a helluva receiver and will be missed, but I voted for Eric Murray. Sure tackling, physical corner with excellent coverage skills.

BBC will be a loss as well, but it's a damn shame he was forced to play hurt all season long. He showed last night what kind of player he is when fully healthy.

Stunned that there is someone who believes TDs scored is the only way to evaluate how valuable someone is.

I voted for Murray as well but I can see why some picked Maye. He had a bunch of big time catches this year that kept drives going.

Losing one of the only good WR's, over the last few years, is going to be tough to overcome imo. I think it is pretty much a tie between Murray and Maye.
