Penn State is putting a whooping on Iowa tonight. The last I saw it was PSU 40, Iowa 7.

We beat ourselves in Happy Valley and in the battle for Floyd of Rosedale. Which was worse?

Equally bad because they have the same division title implications now that Iowa is essentially out of it.

Iowa. They were a team we should have beat, and a rivalry game in our division. And at home.

Could easily make the case knowing what we do now that Penn State was maybe a game we should have lost anyway, even if it would have been great to steal it on the road.

The PSU loss upset me because we had the game won and gave it away.

We played awful in the Iowa game. I'd rather beat Iowa, but the loss didn't upset me nearly as much as we didn't deserve to win.

Iowa because we didn't show up for most of the game and they're not good.

Suspended players cost us at PSU.

I say let's make those games not matter by winning out. It's better to look forward than back to something you can't change.

Can't pin 1 game or another loss on the "sting-meter."
The simple fact is (and I said this way back in a May post),
2-0 in B1G play would put them in an unbelievable position to be factored into the B1G West, 1-1 acceptable, and 0-2 disastrous. Gophs went 0-2. From that point on, all I have cared about is the Gophers putting +1 in the win column week to week. They've done well in that regard. They need to find a way to win 1 of next 3....preferably 2 of next 3. But, considering theyblew the golden opportunity @ a split, they've done remarkably well.

Penn State.

The team played like absolute garbage against Iowa and didn't deserve to win.
Beat Penn State and the team is likely top 15 right now.

The Penn State game because it looked locked up and they gave it away.

Penn State would have meant more on a National Level and equal in terms of West Title and we had that game won...just one more stop. Suspended players probably cost us that game...shame on them.

Iowa game we took a big steaming dump on the big M on TCF. No excuse...team let themselves and us down.

Penn State. The Gophers were terrible against Iowa. The Gophers should have beaten Penn State.

If we win out, then those games will have mattered infinitely more as they would have cost us a playoff spot.

Both equally hurt because the Gophers could have been 9-0 with the B1G West title firmly in their grasp.

Penn State. The Iowa game we could have won. Penn State... We completely blew it. Should have won that one without a doubt.

I agree.

Going into the season, I was expecting to be 7-2 at this point with losses to Iowa and Penn State. Since that exact scenario played out, it's hard for me to beat myself up over those two losses. PSU definitely stung more though.
