Poor Julian - he knew he was going to miss those - but missing the 2nd one was actually very good since Wash. couldn't set up a long pass.... Dre was the only Gopher willing to go at it! Refs horrible on both teams - early charge calls for us but Dre getting manhandled at the end and no call. Oh well we WON!!!!!

Anybody notice that Tubby and Julian seemed to get into it on the sidelines during a timeout towards the end of regulation???? It looked like Julian thought he was going in the game and said something and Tubby gave him the stair-down....Taylor was trying to play peacemaker. I could be wrong.

Dre is awesome. Thank god Tubby finally figured out the perfect position for (the tinman) RS3.

I'm just going to assume he missed the second one on purpose to not let Washington setup their offense.

I saw that, but I think Welch was being taken out for defensive and rebounding reasons.

Simply put, he shouldn't be on the floor at the end of any game. Defensive liability; rebounding liability; loose ball liability; turnover liability; and can't shoot free throws at end of games to boot. Dude needs to get in shape and play with passion once in a while. How EE's, AnH's, JC's, OO's, AI's, and TM's (on the bench!) enthusiasm and hustle doesn't rub off on some of these guys is just beyond me.

I like how you ignore that he is injured.

I personally like Welch but agree that Coleman is a better defensive/rebounding option. That being said, what exactly is "loose ball liability?" Just curious.

Julian plays an important role on this team as a guard who can back up both guard positions. But, its funny how often he ends up with the game in his hands and is either the hero or the goat.
