I'd love to celebrate a big NCAA upset with some other Gopher fans in Milwaukee. Anyone have a good place for us all to meet up near the Bradley Center after the game or later that night? Any suggestions? Where's the (un)official GH party at?

Considering yourselves major underdogs? and I dont think there will be any gophers celebrating after X wins. :D

I live down here in Milwaukee. What type of place are you looking for?

Near the Bradley Center is Old World Third Street, which I would highly recommend. Lots of good bars like German Beer Hall etc.

I'm looking for the holy trinity of good apps, lively atmosphere, and great bar to watch tourney other games. Are these bars within walking distance? Any other GH'ers up for a pint or eight after a victory?

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA FUNNY!

Does it bother you that a large number of national analysts have us beating you guys?

Not at all. Not at all. I dont know where you got this because from what I watched on "the experts" last night, about half the anylsts had us a the sleeper. But theres many analysts so it could be said either way. But I couldnt care less what they say. Their opinions no greater than mine our yours. I like our chances

There is a huge sports bar one block south of the Bradley Center called Major Goolsby's. That's where all the Marquette and Bucks fans go before and after games for drinking/eating. Tons of tv's and just an overall basketball vibe to the whole place.

Goolsby's is what I was planning on too. I don't know it well, but I've gone there prior to an Admiral's game or two and liked it. If the scalpers aren't being reasonable that's where I'll be.

I didn't catch the name of the place, but there is a sota social on Thursday night at a bar right across from the Bradley Center that is owned by the same people who own Majors Sports Cafe. There is also a gathering in the morning before the game.

Good wings at Goolsby's too. Also in the same neighborhood (1-3 blocks away) are Buck Bradley's, the German Beer Hall, and the Milwaukee Brat house. Molly Cools is also over there, and is a relatively new place. They have great coconut shrimp appetizer and good happy hour specials (2 for 1 tappers and rail drinks, etc.

On a weird note former Gopher football player Keith Lipka's sister works there as a hostess some nights.

Probably Molly Cool's... about a block and a half to the BC. They own the one in.. Lakeville? MN as well.

Actually, the bar almost directly across from the BC is 'Centercourt'. It used to be called 'Gametime' and it was dreadful. New owners now, and 'Centercourt' is supposedly much better. I'm sorta embarrassed I don't know if that's the case, given the fact that I'm a Bucks season ticket holder. But I spend most of my time in either Molly Cools (pregame) or the German Beer Hall (postgame).

Also, for some good eats 'Historic Turner Hall' directly across from the BC hosts one hell of a good Fish Fry on Friday nights.

Thanks for the info! We are getting in later Thurs. night and I want to catch the KU game(my alma mater.)

I'll be bartending at molly cool's milwaukee... never been there before so don't know how it goes but mention gopherhole and I'll try to buy at least a round...

The Sota Social on Thursday and the pregame Gopher breakfast on Friday are at a place called Bootleggar's Bar and Grill. Same people own Major's. It is near the Bradley Center.

Thanks for all the info everyone. Looks like I'll be at Bootlegger's before the game, Goolsby's, the German place, Molly Cool's, and everywhere else after the game. Am I the only one who thinks we're going to get the Gophers vs. MSU team instead of the Gophers vs. tOSU team on Friday? Go Gophers!

I'm partial to the Harp and Trinity on Juneau, about 3 blocks from the Bradley Center right on the river. The Harp has one of the best river patios in Milwaukee and with the temps in the 60's out here this weekend, could be a great spot to celebrate a victory.
