Lots of threads about many topics and no love for RS3's performance tonight?

He is going to be something special when his senior year rolls around and he's dumping that sky hook on everybody.

Sampson was great for most of the night, and I think this would have been remembered as the "Sampson game" similar to the "Westbrook game" against Wisconsin last year. Unfortunately, Ralph didn't get the ball much down the stretch and the Gophers lost yet another heart breaker. I'd caution against assuming Ralph will continue to improve, but if he does, the Gophers have a lot of wins in their future.

If this was one game- I'd be skeptical. But Ralph has been building to this for a number of games. He's going to get better and better as he gains confidence and strength. If we can get Mbakwe suited up next year we will be able to go with 2 bigs all game long and Ralph appears to like that lineup a lot.

If we are going to improve our half-court offense, Sampson will have to be the man. It is hard to imagine Tubby's half-court offense working well without an inside player who can score. Sampson seems to be the key to our half-court offense next season.

I was impressed. But this is the first time I've seen him.

Tearing it up against the 3rd best team in the country. He's going to be a magnificent player. Keeping it old school. I like his style.

How about his 3 pointer?? If he can hit that next year it will open up lots of room in the paint for the high-low with Mbakwe and Iverson.

My buddies and i laughed so hard when he hit that. He has a very nice looking shot though. I would give him the go ahead to maybe take 10--15 outside shots per season. That shot changed the momentum for sure.

Sampson disappears a good amount, but he's impressed me a lot this year after I was pretty pissed at him most of last year. He really just needs to stay aggressive. He does pretty well whenever he plays with emotion and heart. It's good to see him playing tougher this year. I'm loving the hookshots.

Continue to improve?? According to Doogie he hasn't improved at all from last year.:rolleyes:

This was puzzling. Why didn't Tubby insist that Ralph get some looks? For the last 9 minutes of the game or so, he wasn't part of the offense at all.

Ralph played the best game of his career...however, Painter did switch up the D midway through the 2nd, and it was much tougher to get the bigs looks. I still think we should have tried harder to get the high-low than we did though...
