Where is Flip?

I checked around the U all morning. No sign of him.
I drove out to his house, Paul Allen was cleaning the bathroom but said he hadn't seen Flip all day.
 

He's out looking for Shaka. I would expect a full update on this very website from Flip within the hour.
 

He's out raising money to buy the Wolves. Only $350 million to go!
 

Searched his name on Twitter and came up with this from some random person:

"Sitting next to Flip Saunders at the airport. Overheard a good phone conversation."
"He met with Norwood this morning and feels good about where he stands on the short list."

How frickin' thick can this plot get?!?!? You cannot write this stuff.

She's a little mistaken on the location. I'm still holding down the fort at Sex World and having been sitting next to Flip for quite some time. Airport, Sex World .... honest mistake as I also mix those two up all the time.
 


He's involved somehow, you don't go dark like he has if you're not.

Tentatively planning a logo change once the new coach is announced. Not sure you'll like it, though (the logo, not the coach). But only you can decide to be happy.

I'm thinking he was proactive, and told Norwood that if he fired Tubby and went after Shaka, and it didn't work out, that he'd be willing to help the U save face and would take the job.

I think he REALLY wants the job, but doesn't want people to know how badly he wants it. If Norwood wasn't such a new presence here in Minnesota, I think he might have Flip higher up on his short list. But my gut feeling is that he wants to bring in one of his own guys, Shaka or another Villa 7 guy.

I'm hoping Flip gets the job. I really am, because I think it would be the best combination of short term splash effect, plus positive long term impact as well.


Not sure Flip will want to spend a lot of time helping the program raise up funds for a new practice facility if he's not the Head Coach and instead takes a job as a GM for some NBA team or something like that?
