I just finished watching the 1999 MN - Penn State game, a thriller we won in the last minute.

David, 31 years old at the time, was a very colorfull but in my estimation and one of the better D Cord we have had. I hated to see him leave but haven't followed his career. Anyone help me out on this?

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Gibbs_%28American_football%29), he is currently the defensive back coach for the Chiefs (NFL).

He was good against running teams when we had Tyrone carter and a few other guys who could tackle. Drew Brees owned us.

Gibbs dad was a NFL coach and his dream was to be a NFL coach. He's living his dream, so you can't blame him, but he definately has the talent to be a BCS leve DC.

Well I did like David Gibbs and his energy. While I think that Gibbs deserves much credit, I think Mark Snyder did wonders with the DL Lamanzer Williams, RIchards, and Karon Riley did well under him. I wish we would have considered trying to retain him when Gibbs left.
