While looking around for A.D. salary info, only found the same info that dpodoll did, found this article from Chicagofootball.com. It's a pretty comprehensive list of info obtained thru a Freedom of Information request. It's a year old and it deals with the season of 2013-2014. There is more at the link too.

The 2013-14 financial data from forms sent from the schools to the NCAA, acquired via Freedom of Information requests, show the benefit of being part of the conference, with the Big Ten Network money and football money continuing to grow.

With that in mind, here is a look at some rankings of current Big Ten teams and their football-related surplus from 2013-14. Keep in mind that Northwestern, a private school, and Penn State, because of the state of Pennsylvania's Right to Know policy, are missing some parts of the listing because they are not subject to FOIA requests of this sort. When possible, data from the school's tax returns or other sources have been included

Only thing that I would categorize as "embarrassing" is the donor support, other than that there is really nothing surprising.

This report is pre football seat license expansion. It will be interesting to see the results from the fees imposed in 2014 with increases in both 2015 and 2016.

I would think the seat license fees will show up in the donations category.

Or in the "donations" category.

Interesting that the Gophers had higher average ticket sales per stadium capacity per game ($39.43) than MSU ($33.66) and Wisconsin ($33.19). I was looking to see if stadium size was directly correlated to more ticket sales revenue and it was pretty close, except for the Gophers leapfrogging MSU and Wisconsin.

Ohio State $64.10
Michigan $61.22
Nebraska $50.78
Iowa $42.59
Minnesota $39.43
MSU $33.66
Wisconsin $33.19
Illinois $25.37
Purdue $24.03
Rutgers $23.88
Maryland $20.57
Indiana $17.77

I wonder if club, and fancy boxes play into that?

Not sure how much of that they have at the other schools.

Not sure, maybe a benefit of the new construction. I think Wisconsin renovated to include lots of suites/premium seating back in the 2000's

I'm confused as to what you calculated here. Is this the average cost of a ticket to a football game at these schools?

If so, not to take a cheapshot at the Gophs, but with the recent success of the program I'd say the average ticket is highly overpriced.

The average attendance in 2015 was the highest since 1987.

(Total Ticket Sales/Stadium capacity)/Home Games Last Season

I was initially just trying to see if the big money makers came from just having a larger capacity stadium.

It won't translate directly to ticket prices since it isn't off of ticket sold numbers.

And everyone of the guys who haven't donated wanted to be on the search committee. :D
