I'm thinking that the time has come to start developing the young Oline players and bench the 5th yr seniors. The seniors aren't getting the job done how much worse would the youngsters be? It might be rough in the begining but it's going to be a long season anyway

To be honest, I don't think it can get much worse on the O-line or the D-line. That's why we can't win, both of our lines suck.

There is not one reason to play the seniors any longer. We're not going to win this year so we might as well start working towards winning next year. And we're much better off playing the young kids. I'm all for benching the senior's and making a decision real soon if Gray or Shortell deserves the snaps the rest of they year. I would avoid rotating as it is too hard to learn your craft that way.

Have to agree. If the seniors aren't playing their hardest why play them? You can't rebuild a program with your young guys watching seniors not give a sh!t about what's happening. I, as i'm sure most fans, would fully support the coaching staff benching upperclassmen for not giving their best effort

I'm at this point right now - time to go young and build for the future. Hope to see a lot more of Olson, Epping, Amaefula.

Is Campion injured? I saw him in a white jersey on the sideline.

Campion has a concussion Coach Kill has stated that they are going to be very careful with it.

Oh ya i remember that now.

Epping played last night. Not sure if Tommy did on the OL. Eddie needs to step his game up. OL really is a spot that you need to play your best players no matter what year they are. It affects the development of all the guys behind them.

Offense is not the problem for this team they are scoring enough points. The defense is the problem. Line gets zero push and lose containment nearly every play while the secondary is the worst in Division I.

The O Line needs help as well as the whole defense at this time....that is why they are looking so bad.

To me it looked as though both tackles where getting burnt at the line, at one point Eddy was somewhat chop blocking to at least slow down his guy. I really expect a lil more out of Eddy. Like all have said numerous times Shortell makes teams respect the pass and they dont stack the box with 9! Men!!

Kirkwood is fun to watch as well as Lair.

The Defense well its tough to watch....Lewis, Henderson and Vereen(still young and learning?) are pretty bad with the cushions they give as they are not good enough to press or cover as far as I can see. Royston cannot do it alone and I think he is strugging at times along with Stoudimire. Our LB's well Tinsley is the only mad man out there, what happened to Rallis, I expected him to be more aggressive. Hill has been out he gets a pass, as well as Cooper as he is injured and I know he can play much better. I am sorry but I dont pay much attention to the DL as they are pitiful and have no speed to run down QBs...Haegman is a monster why is he not wreaking havok on Offenses?

I am disappointed b/c I thought KILL would be able to coach some of these kids up more and we could at least be fun to watch. My Bro-inlaw and I were talking about how our "Rubeness" is killing the fun for us. I thought the discipline alone would show more on game days.

Eddie was owned in pass protection. Speed around him, hard inside, bull rush. It was a an awful night for Eddie. But the problem is on the defensive side of the ball. We cannot stop anyone. 3rd down opportunities went by time after time. They had Royston playing a monster back roll. He was was the eighth man in the box, and when the ran play action the area beyond the linebakers, 7 yards was defened by three people. If you cannot stop the run with the front seven, or even control the line of scrimage with your front 4 you don't have a defense. We don't have any push at defensive tackle, no speed or agility or power at defensive end, and the linebacking outside of Tinsely is non existent. Until they get the defense playing aggresive take the ball back, we will have to outscore the opponents. And that is not going to happen. Defense wins games, offense sells tickets.

I spent a lot of time watching our DE play...and it was horrible. Bag angles, no leverage, loss of contain...play after play. Garrin was the worst...Mafuala was bad on half the plays and KGM looked lost and confused. Plus, we had at least 5 missed tackles on the QB that should have resulted in sacks but didn't, with two of those misses resulting a first down. Just bad defensive line play.

What really set me off was Wynn on one particular play. He had initally blocked his man and Gray was scrambling around behind him. He gave up on his man about the time Gray decided to run and Wynn's man made the tackle for a sack. If Wynn maintains his block there was a lane for a 10 to 15 yard gain.

To much Fail....we can only hope it does not get any worse before we get to see some better play and execution.
