What's the chance we put up 13 on Illinois?

I see a pattern. Can you believe 4 losses in 5 games of Big Ten play and in every loss we scored 13? Change in QB hasn't changed our offensive output. Suppose giving Nelson experience at this point is good to do. I'd like to see a lot more McDonald at receiver as we're going to need him next year...

Combination of bad O line, no explosive RB, ineffective QB play and a very conservative and predictable playbook.

Jerry's offense needs a great running back to truly be successful (or a dominant o-line). I trust that he is in the process of building a dominant o-line or getting a quality running back. He needs needs to sit Kirkwood down, tell him to lose 20 lbs and work on his agility. Kirkwood has the the right mind to be great. Just not the right body, unfortunately.

Chances we are held to 13 next week? Probably not very good, but it is on the road so I wouldn't say 0%. However, 13 points might win us the game next week.

Illinois is pretty bad so I would say good. Can't compare them to Purdue or Michigan.

I'd roll two dice on that, but I would never get a 13, so that chance is out the window. :

Michigan has the #1 pass defense in the Big Ten. They also gave up 13 points to Notre Dame, the #3 ranked team in the country. They shut out Illinois, gave up 10 points to Michigan St., and 23 points to Nebraska because they threw 3 INTs. What did you expect, a 30 point performance from the Gophers?

Good run-blocking is just what the doctor ordered - will be a real Killer next year. A speedy upper echelon RB recruit will be a big bonus.

I think Rodrick Williams Jr. has some good potential and could turn out to be a good RB in the next few years.

We have to do more than 13 against Illinois. As unpleasant as a home thumping against Michigan is, the sky isn't falling. The sky will be falling if we lost to Illinois. Right now, Illinois can't find their way out of a paper bag and would probably lose to most high schools in Texas (before people start comparing bad college teams with good high school teams, that was hyperbole). The only good thing Illinois has going for them is that they get to play Purdue in a few weeks, and despite their best efforts, one of those dreadful teams will necessarily come away with a conference win.

We will have 13+ points in the first quarter. Mark it down.

I'm an optimist so I look at it this way: If we can score 14 points, we got 'em right where we want 'em.:)

When you get in the red zone, as the Gophs were plenty on Sat, you need to score td's. Maybe not 30, but it would not have been a stretch for 28 on Sat.

imo, the playcalling in those situations was abhorrent. Keep it simple, with a bit of deception.
