Trying to offset all of the unabated optimism on the forum so we don't jinx the big decision.

I will enter the weekend extremely depressed and expect a blow out loss for the football team because that is usually how things go for us Gopher fans.

In all seriousness though, I will be happy with this class even if we don't get Reid or Vaughn. So I'll just look forward to the possibilities of the 2015 class.

Edit: Also for the record, I will absolutely not rip the kid.

Say to myself, "self...that's about right...."

Sell all my possessions and follow the Lord.

I think he has handled himself well throughout the whole process. Seems to have been brought up right with a solid head on his shoulders. Wish him well and tell him to avoid us in March otherwise he will be going home.

I'm going to go look for GuyFawkes' mirror

The same thing I'll do if he commits to the U, drink heavily!

Think nothing of it, as that is standard operating procedure with the Gophers and Minnesota sports in general: Come to close to getting something big, get sucked into thinking positive thoughts, and then get punched in the gut.

Kick YOUR a$$ for bringing this up.

Wish him well, cry and stick my head in an oven. Please Reid be the guy who makes the U the place to play basketball!

I will remind myself that people got really excited when Ralph Sampson III committed to the Gophers - and look how that turned out.........

I think this video clip sums it up...

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/mMRQdL_xvME" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

"I would collapse. I would draw the shades, and I would live in the dark. I would never get out of my slarpad nor clean myself. My fluids would coagulate, my cone would shrivel, and I would die, miserable and lonely. The stench would be great."

Road trip!!

I'm actually headed to the twin cities... Coincidentally leaving at 3:30... Will be at a BW3s in the southeast suburbs by 800 to catch the gopher game and all the other games on throughout the night. If we have to, come find me and we can tag team this fella.... If we don't have to, come find me, and we can tag team a bottle of whisky...

He is going to Minnesota. Inviting the public is too big a risk if you are gonig elsewhere.

Going to be fun game agianst Lehigh tonight.

Like someone already mentioned, I'll just chalk it up to typical MN sports letdowns. On the bright side, we'll always have Christian Ponder.
