Now that the excitement of waiting for my season tickets has come and gone, what can I do to keep mind occupied before Thursday's kickoff?

A. Drink heavily?

B. Try to combine all of my old Gopher hats, shirts, sweats, etc. into one glorious Gopher body suit?

C. Finally master the ability to burp the Rouser?

D. Start knocking on doors around campus asking if everyone is excited for the season? Maybe late night after accomplishing "A"?

E. Other?

I like to think of new business ventures when I'm trying to occupy my time. I'll give you one for free:

Absolut Lutefisk

It can be the official spirit of Gopher spirit.

Yes, so glad this is back.

A then B

Sorry for the clarification question but is the Gopher suit heat resistant? If so B is the only option due to the unnatural weather that will transpire on Thursday.

Start planning dinner and drinks for Thursday.

For me, so far:
Pregame BBQ - Bacon wrapped steaks, salmon, baked potatoes, and the wife is planning some other things.
During Game - Real popcorn with Lowery's season salt and Cheez-it and peanuts mixed in. Chips and salsa.
Lots of beer.

I think you should drink heavily, get your full body suit, knock on doors and when people answer belch the rouser. Sounds like a nice little Tuesday.

F. All of the above.

A thru D are not without their charm, I recommend you spend all your waking hours between now and then attempting to brainwash as many elementary school aged children that you can that the 'Gophers Rule'. Be careful about combining item 'A' with this though, or restraining orders may be in your future.

And WOW Unregistered - that sounds like one helluva game-day spread, especially for a weekday game. You've motivated me to take it up a notch for this Thursday night. Fondue and homemade nachos, here we come.

A., B., ride around on my moped and then take a nap (since I am still an old bitter Gopher). Have my wife roll me over if I snore too much or sing the Rouser in my sleep. Repeat as necessary until game time.

We are making Goldy shaped pancakes for our kids. Not as ambitious as your spread (obviously) but, hey, its for the kids!!

How do you do that? I might be interested in doing that for the little ones.

Bourbon in mass quantities, every week for 12 weeks should do the trick.

Add me to the recipe list! I would love to do that for my boys.

We are going to be experimenting with a couple different things Thursday. Hopefully one will work and they can become a tailgate staple for 11am kicks. I'll post results later.

I could use the mesh from a couple of the baseball caps to add some vents. Safety first when dealing with unnatural weather.
