I replied on a different thread regarding the B10 tournament ..

I think a pretty good " what if " scenario is what if Northwestern beats Purdue? Presuming of course they get by Indiana.

Northwestern has played Purdue really well the last few years splitting games with them. With Hummell.

Assuming the impossible could happen and we get by Michigan State I think it's plausible we could see Northwestern in the semi final game.

I almost hate to say it but do we need Northwestern to get beat by Purdue so we could have another crack at Purdue to be able to build our resume?

Thoughts?

I think the Gophers should be hoping that Purdue wins, assuming that you can get past MSU. Purdue is about as bad of a #5 team in March as you can get. Wins over MSU and Purdue would likely be enough to get the Gophers into the dance....MSU and Northwestern? Might not be.

Let's just get by PSU first.

Yeah, I second that. PSU is a pretty dangerous team right now, playing much better than early in the year. Seems kinda weird to me that Michigan gets 'rewarded' as the #8 seed playing Iowa, while we draw PSU. Their records are what they are though.

Thank God I'm not a player because I guess I'm looking past Penn State. For whatever reason I think we'll win that one going away. The post does make a point, Northwestern has beat Purdue two out of the last three. What the hell is up with that anyway?
