And lose all remaining games for 6-6, with a bowl loss a possibility, too. Iowa looked very good today - that game may answer this question.

What if Reading Gopher Hole lowered your IQ? Judging from some of the posts on here lately, I'm starting to think it might be true.

WHAT??? Judging from the various posts I read lately here on GopherHole, the average IQ is now lower than the state of Iowa's average IQ!!! And that is LOW!!!

Not quite sure what you mean by "Peaked Last Year"? Do you mean last year was the best record they will achieve under Coach Kill? If that's what you mean, I'd say it's possible but very unlikely. Besides, how can you say that when you have little idea what our team will look like in the next few years?

It seems to me that our defense is a little less stout this year and our offense is the same or a little better. But I'm saying that just based on the eye test, and not having looked at our statistics. If our record ends up being worse this year than last, I'd say that's more a function of our schedule than anything else and perhaps the slight improvement from last year of a few of our opponents.

Kill definitely has us moving in the right direction and with additional experience and additional talent coming up, we will be a better team. A lot will also depend on how much better the other teams get from year to year. Bottom line, we won't know until the games are played, so why bother thinking that way?

What if. What if. What if.

Most Stupid question of all time.

What if..the dog didn't stop to crap, would he have caught the rabbit?

What if they took away your computer privileges at the nursing home.

You guys would be bored to death, pup.

What if you young guys are lucky enough to get to the age of us septuagenarians?

At least I know enough to end a question with a ?.

The real question is do you remember where you left your dentures and what flavor of jello did they serve you tonight?

He would still be equal to the first four years of Mason.

Mason coached when the Big Ten was a top 2 football conference; kill is coaching in it when it's the worst power 5 conference.

Easily better thean the ACC or the Big 12. Possibly better than both combined with their worst team not included. As good as the PAC 12, and close than advertised to the SEC.
The worst team in the Big Ten beat the best team in the SEC East this season.

What if the Gophers have yet to peak this year, win every game and a bowl game.

What the **** is your point?

Possibly? Yes. Easily? No.

I think the Big 12 is better but I guess someone could make an argument for the Big 10.

Well, I'll still be a fan. I said before this year, this isn't our year. The year we will make a legitimate run is in 2 years. We'll be a lot better then than we are now. And if not, this will still be my team.

Big 12 is better at the top. Pac 12 is likely better throughout. SEC likely has 6 teams that would win the B10 West this year had they played here. ACC is awful.

Point is: 3-9, 6-7, 8-5, not as good as 8-5 (even allowing for TCU). After three losing seasons (first one 1-10) Alvarez, rebuilding, lost only one game his 4th season, sharing Big10 title and winning the Rose Bowl. Fry at Iowa took a 2-9 team and went to the Rose Bowl his third year. I'm suggesting that after this year (and probably next year, too - as no new QB looks ready and Jones' academic status is not certain) that of five years, last year may have the best record. Not the end of the world but not exactly what you'd want.

I remember being upset with Phil Nelson because I do believe the stars were aligned for a 10 win season last year, if he could make the offense go. Our Achilles.

Lay off the sauce my man. The big ten isn't close to the Big 12 or PAC 12. The big 12 has 5 good team (Baylor, K St, Oklahoma, WV and TCU) the Big 10 has 3 (neb, OSU and msu); and we have way more teams!! Iowa st walked into Kinnick and won! Iowa is the big 10's 4th best team! Get a clue.

Yes, anything is possible but Great Plains "What if" is much more likely than your "What if".

Either way, we need to play the rejuvenated Hogeyes to see to see how the "What if" part of the season unfolds.

Just keep making bowl games and I'll have enough entertainment to get me from summer to hockey season.

Imagine if, a couple years ago, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Iowa all left the Big Ten. And suddenly Ohio State started struggling to play .500 football. And the Big Ten added Pittsburg and BYU to keep the conference at 10 teams. No more divisions or CCG.

Would this be an easier conference for Minnesota to amass wins?

Impossible! The SEC doesn't lose games.
