How would you grade Mitch today?

F. If you're the guy and capable of playing you have to perform better

LOL...is this necessary? "Piling on," is a term that comes to mind...

D-. While the performance was an F, he manned up and played. He could have ducked it and said he was too hurt. He also got no help from the O-Line. I know I'm being generous in my assessment.

F. He completely failed to lead the team in any meaningful way. He's quickly showing that the home squad may need to look in a very different direction very soon. They won't, likely because the backups aren't any better.

He was a game manager in 1st two games and today he was careless with the ball on the road. He and the OL get F's

I give him points for creativity. I have never seen a QB before hold the ball vertically above his head with both hands.

LOL, that was a highlight for me as well. It was like he was trying to keep his baby from drowning or something...

time for the season ending mystery never 100% again injury. i really don't blame the kid. right kid wrong job.

From the look of his body language, Mitch is not very happy out there. He looked miserable.

He should've had another interception and possibly another fumble (he tried to over-hand a ball while going down).

I feel bad for him right now. It's not his fault he's starting.

I gave him an F, as I felt there were some things he could have done better.

Piling on, and unnecessary. He's not doing great, but he's been put in a tough situation mentally with this whole annointing him like Jesus Christ that Kill chose to do that seems to have failed miserably, as well as being given horsecrap game plans. No bubble screens or jet sweeps yet to Jones yet from my recall.

I gave him a "C" for this performance. I'm probably going to catch some slack for this but oh well. This is what I expect to be Mitch's norm. He is going to have to play out of his mind to be an average quarterback at this level. From what I've seen of him in high school and his brief time at the U I have never thought he was a division 1 quarterback. He might be a division 1 leader and bleed maroon and gold, but I've seen more fundamentally sound quarterbacks at the division 2 level. I sure as heck hope he proves me wrong, but I'm just not seeing him progress from year to year. This is year 3 and he still looks completely lost at times.

I'm not gonna pile on so I give Mitch an F-. He will look less putrid next week and then back to horrid at Michigan.

It's not fair to give Mitch a grade here. He's in an advanced course but should've been placed in a remedial class. Poor kid. He's so in over his head it's embarrassing. He should transfer to D-III and go have some fun, or he should switch positions.

I gave him a C.

It was a miserable game, but much of it was not on him. Excellent secondary coverage, lousy O-line play...the simple fact is that the Goph's got their a***s kicked. Mitch had a part in it, but he wasn't the cause.

The offense played like the lumbering giant that it is.
When every one of your offensive plays seems like it is being run at "walk through" speed, you had better be so physically outclassing your opponent it doesn't make any difference if it is slow.
They weren't and the results speak for themselves.
