How much change is realistic to expect between now and the bowl game? Is it fair to just expect to get a few guys healthy, maybe throw a few wrinkles into the offense?

15 practices is a lot, though probably not enough to expect anything radical.

What realistic changes would others like to see?

It's a lot to ask, given our offense, but I'd like to see more involvement from the WRs in the passing game. In our last 3 games, our WRs have nine receptions. I hope that in the bowl, we have at least six catches from that group.

Even if the WR don't get a whole lot more involved just getting Mitch to not have the AirMail passes that just sail over the TE/RB/WR heads would be a nice accomplishment in my perspective. We have seen him do it albiet not on a consistant basis but he can drop them in with touch.

Flea-Flickers. Lots and lots of flea-flickers.

Theiren Cockran getting a sack per quarter. Great games in bowls can and often do help big time with draft stock.

I am hoping your draft stock comment was targeted at Cobb because Cockran is not ready to go pro yet and if he were to declare he would be at best a late round flyer and more then likely a free agent look type of player.

For the bowl game I would actually like to see Edwards as a bigger part of the gameplan (not sure if he will be healthy by then or not), really find out what if any chance he has to be an impact player next year and beyond or if he is going to be more of a situational guy. We know he is fast, what we don't know is if he can use that speed to be effective at this level.

We could throw th old Lineman eligible out there like we did against Nebraska 2 years ago and see where that takes us if we find ourselves in a bit of a bind.

Semi-correct assumption. You're correct that this should be a look at draft stock for next year, as this year there would be almost no upside for him to declare for this year's draft. But my thinking is more that a great performance this game could lead into the summer of draft speculation and help set a HIGH bar for next season's performance.

By no means is this anything but a hope that the national spotlight of this game may be able to spark Cockran's SR season with a breakout performance to cap this season.

Leidner should fake a hand off and hide the ball under his jersey, only to reveal it 50 yards down field in the end zone.

I'd like to see us score 4 offensive touchdowns. I don't really care how it happens. If that means we have to pass better then do that. If that means we have to run like a Wisconsin team then do that.

Throw the ball to Cobb at least 4-5 times. Give the NFL a larger dose of David Cobb than what they have seen.

Run consecutive double reverses out of 7 different sets, and then nail them with a tackle eligible for a 42 yard TD?

I'd love to see them work on a short passing game.

This was my original thought too, but then I wondered f the coaches don't specifically avoid the short passing game because that does nothing to pull the secondary out of the box. The long passing game, even if rarely succeeding in completions, is a huge aid to the running game; not so for the short passing game.

+1 I'd also like to see a Gopher fan in the stands with a Polar Bear Suit and a Fake Machete.:D

Seriously, maybe a screen pass or two/ a couple of wheel routes.

Bowlacaust

i'd like to see the Big Ten win every bowl they are in. I know the mods removed my bowlacaust thread....'but its such a fine line between stupid and ummm'.

I'm not a huge football mind, but I think even some quick slants or seam routes would might keep the OLB and corners more honest and hold them up for a second vs crashing the line anticipating a run all the time. Or perhaps crossing routes on play-action after the LBs have vacated the middle. But there's a reason why I'm sitting at my desk typing this and am not preparing for a bowl game...guessing they know a little more than me!

I'd like to see Eric Murray have a big game. He's been in BBC's shadow all year. Time for him to unleash a dominant performance. Pick six baby! I'm calling it!

Wolitarsky and Berkley Edwards healthy and contributing. Berkley Edwards was just starting to make n appearance when he got a high ankle sprain. Wolitarsky for a couple of games seemed to make Leidner comfortable throwing medium depth passes. Having both available just expands the playbook.

Is there anything to this or have rumors been out there?

I believe there was a rumor that both D Jones and Yoshub Tibbs are likely to transfer. Don't know how much truth there is to it but when you look at his in-game demeanor it isn't very encouraging especially when Mitch throws a terrible pass to him. I think he believes he would be better suited in a spread. I really hope he has at least 60-70 receiving yards which would hopefully change his mind if that is what he actually is thinking.

No rumors that I have heard. I only said it wouldn't surprise me as I view him as an uber-talented athlete that is not prospering here (yet). I think he can and will if he sticks around - I'm not suggesting he will or should transfer, just saying it wouldn't overly surprise me if he did.

I think we're looking for some swell defense to pull through in in a big way! I know I'm certainly counting on it!

This. Perfect time to show why we were high on him. He had been sidelined with previous injuries. I'd like to see him healthy and gain confidence that he'll be contributor going into next season.

That will add a nice wrinkle to our offense.

I'd also like to see Drew have a good bowl game fully healed.
