Per Marcus:

Totino-Grace four-star junior wing Dothan Ijadimbola said Colorado State staff members recruited him previously, but he wasn’t able to speak much with Medved during the season.

“I think highly of him,” said Ijadimbola, who also had offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Xavier. “He has [NCAA tournament] experience with midmajor schools, so I can’t wait to see what he does in the Big Ten.

“I’m also glad they chose Medved because he grew up here and that’s what the staff at CSU brought up a lot. About how he likes to recruit from the Midwest and in [Minnesota]. All around a good coach, but I’ve never spoken with him and hopefully I get to soon.”

Hopkins junior guard Jayden Moore was one of the state’s most electric players this season. He led the state with 270 assists and also put up four triple-doubles and even a quadruple-double.

“Hopefully I can build a relationship with him better than [Johnson],” said Moore, who also has an offer from Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck. “Then I would consider staying home.”

😬

Sounds similar to what in state recruits said about Pitino, and now Ben was no different.... sounds like both these guys could/want to stay home. I know Niko has a million things going on, but sounds like he really needed to touch base with Dothan

If that is accurate, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, it is further proof CBJ was not even remotely ready for the job he had. Maybe resources could have been better, but it sounds like the effort could have used a kick in the pants, too.
Not gonna lie Spaulding called this day one

just saying, you can draw any line you want through one data point. CBJ is gone because he wasn't a good coach.

he has a football offer. if he takes that he'd be a walk on for basketball

That’s a bit of a stretch. Johnson had Payne, Hawkins, Garcia, Christie, and Asuma potentially on this years team. Identifying talent wasn’t the problem. Winning and retaining talent was.

Better than Washburn-McReavy Funeral Homes!
They should sponsor a "Bring Out Your Dead" night at the barn around Halloween and again around Mardi Gras. We can make this work but not the way Washburn-McReavy would ever dream of promoting their association with Minnesota if I were their agent. They want dignity and death to be serious. I want a funeral home to have a disco room and a cash bar. I would even install a "Wailing Wanda" room to scream in agony. At the Barn, I would play the tragic losses of our opponents on the big screen for all to jeer at. Bring out your dead and wailing Wanda at every home game. Yes. It is time to think outside THAT box. I would make Washburn-McReavy superstars.

Meh, that’s a decent starting 5. Backups were a different story and can’t be said the same for. Not only that but despite itentifying such great talent he’d have 2-3 of those guys off the bench rather than starting.

Williams Arena: the place has ghosts. Washburn-McReavy: your ghost management headquarters.
