What a difference an April makes.

Last April Pitino was hired with the following roster:

If you would have told me that we would go 8-10 in the Big Ten, win 25 games, and win the NIT title I would have had a hearty laugh.

What is so encouraging is the improvement of the players, the constant effort, and that this 31 year old coach displayed some serious coaching chops, holding his own against Boeheim, Izzo, Matta, Larry Brown, Bo Ryan, Crean, etc.

Onwards and upwards.

To be fair we still had Coleman when Pitino was hired, but still the roster was thin.
