It's 10:13. Feels very weird not being in the stands at TCF, but anyway:

MINNESOTA RUNNING GAME VS. PURDUE RUSH DEFENSE

The Gophers are a ground-based offense, led by running backs Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks. The latter chewed Purdue up for 176 yards a year ago. If an opponent contains one, Minnesota feeds the other. Purdue contained the Penn State rush in the first half, then got trampled by it in the second. There's not much left to try schematically. Defenders must get off blocks and finish tackles. EDGE: Minnesota.

PURDUE RUNNING GAME VS. MINNESOTA RUSH DEFENSE

Purdue won't have Richie Worship due to a leg injury. Unless the coaching staff begins trusting Brian Lankford-Johnson again, that could mean a larger role for Markell Jones than we've seen in recent games. Right now, though, running the ball is not this team's strength. Minnesota holds opponents to 3.6 yards per carry thanks primarily to a defensive front led by Steven Richardson. EDGE: Minnesota.

MINNESOTA PASSING GAME VS. PURDUE PASS DEFENSE

Gophers quarterback Mitch Leidner, lauded for his leadership skills, isn't posting major passing stats this season. He will, however, be well-protected, especially with tackle Jonah Pirsig expected back from an ankle injury. The Gophers also lost their second-leading receiver when Tracy Claeys dismissed Brian Smith. Purdue's ability to disrupt that passing attack depends largely on an unknown: health. The three-defensive end front can create pressure, but may again be susceptible to the run. EDGE: Purdue...

I'm not sure our passing game would have the edge over Eden Prairie. But other then that, I feel pretty confident today...
