Man I love this kid. Easily the play of the game was when it was second and one at the one when it was 14-3 and they pitched it wide and Wells tracked the Syracuse back for a four yard loss. That led to the Hill interception. Some players have it, Wells appears to be one. I think he will be special.

Also, the two PIs on Carter were big down there too.

Yeah, that play was enormous. I thought that was such bizarre play call by Syracuse at that time.

Massive tackle. I am sooooooooooooo a believer of this D.

The kid has skill. Easily the biggest surprise of the year. He's played excellent. We are lucky to have him for a couple more years. And a shout out to all of the star counters, this simply proves that the coaching staff knows what kind of player they are looking for. Go ahead and disregard the less recruited players. The coaching staff is proving that they know more than the average forum lurker. A.J. Barker.....count the stars. Offensive and defensive MVPs are both players that some people here wondered why we extended a scholarship to.

I'd also like to add that he gave up his body to recover that onside kick too

I went to sleep thinking of that defensive stand. Wells with Carter supporting made an impressive stop. The speed, aggresiveness and confidence are so nice to see.

The play by Wells was massive but I think the play of the game was Thompson's pick. It was a great effort and it really set the tone for the game on defense.

In regards to Wells, that play he made reminded me of Brandon Owens. Wells is not as big as Owens, but Brandon was starting to flash some serious potential before his career was ended by a fluke injury in the Penn State game.

I checked out the Syracuse boards after the game and this play call stood out as the thing they were most pissed about out of the entire game. This is understandable given the head-scratching nature of the call. That said, I've seen plenty of teams score on toss sweeps inside the 3 yard line, so it's not totally boneheaded...unless it doesn't work! Great play by Wells (and I believe Carter had a hand as well).
