It will be hard to root for Duke, but I rather enjoy listening to Seth Greenberg whine at this time every year. Do you think Seth is aware that his squad is 0-5 vs. the RPI top 50?

To be fair, if Va Tech beats the Dukies it's going to be hard to keep them out of the NCAA tourney. Look for Coach K and his squad to take a dive tomorrow to ensure the ACC gets an extra at-large bid.

SS,

All three of the teams we wanted to lose last night won right? Are the bids still at 18 teams for 8 or did that change?

Yes, all the bubble teams won, but in the long run (if Gonzaga wins the WCC tourney) it might be better that St. Mary's took another loss. I would like Gonzaga's at-large chances a lot more than St. Mary's.

Everything's still the same as last night, with the exception that Alabama goes to the bubble because Florida is now the SEC leader after beating Georgia. Opens up an extra bid, as 'Bama is far from a lock.

I'll update the "spots available" on Monday, then pretty much update it daily once the conference tournaments start on Tuesday (Big South and Horizon). The Horizon is one to watch. Though it looks like Milwaukee will be the #1 seed and host the 2nd round & semifinals, we want Butler to win the tournament because it would have a chance as an at-large.

Of course, if the Gophers lose this weekend, not sure I'll be quite as diligent with the bubble stuff because I don't think people are as interested if the Gophers aren't involved.

SS

What do you think the line will be for MN vs Mich on Sat.

Considering we were favored by about 3 over Sparty, I'd say Gophers -4.5 or -5.
