there are not words to describe weber. eric decker helped to hide a lot of his ineptitude over the last couple years. it has nothing to do with switching offenses. weber is not a good qb. he isn't.

Bronko, when I said that Stoudermire should have been benched for the on-field argument a few weeks back you blasted me saying I am "hollier than thou" "need a new Saturday hobby" for ripping a player (which I didn't), you ripped me for jumping off the bandwagon (which I didn't) and were very rude at my comment because you said I was critical.

And my post wasn't 1/100th as critical as yours just was.

Go Gophers!!

Here's an idea: Go after the guy who keeps throwing him out there. You want Weber just to march over to the sidelines and quit? You are right - he's been bad but your anger is misdirected.

Hey, atleast weber is having fun. Have you seen all those smiles?

actually, it was a sideline argument that stoudermire had. not an on-field argument. but, nice try in spinning it.

you were unnecessarily ripping a player for something that happened on the sidelines between him and a special teams coach. i am being critical of a player (weber) based on his proven ineptitude on the field. weber is a joke. stoudermire is not. BIG DIFFERENCE bleedgopher.

and i am not off the gophers bandwagon. i am off the weber bandwagon and have been for some time. again BIG DIFFERENCE.

but, think what you will.

anyways, i hope i wasn't too rude or critical in this reply!

Good catch on my mistake. I wasn't trying to "spin it" - I made a mistake...duly noted. But you know your own hypocrisy and we also know you can't not respond to this post as you always have to have the last word.

Get over it. Bronko, look at how people reply to you on this site. VERY FEW agree with what you have to say simply based on HOW you say it. You are condescending, rude, brash and a pure hypocrite. Stop hiding behind your computer and think before you start typing. A few manners would be nice!

Actually, he doesn't. That's the issue.

well, speak of the devil. btw - you should really “take a look in the mirror.”

anyways. sorry, but i don't subscribe to the b.s. "minnesota nice" approach that you are espousing. will say what i want to say and say it when i want to say it. don't care if some people don't agree. that is your/their problem to deal with. just ignore my posts if they bother you so much.

here is a suggestion: don't worry so much about me bud (you know like the mods suggested to you). you are like my personal stalker. i wish that i could say that i am flattered, but i am not.

Cut Weber some slack here. He had a good season his freshman year (considering he was a freshman), made substantial improvements in his sophomore year, but then Brewster changed offenses and Fisch changed his throwing motion. If you want to blame someone, blame them.

Blame Brewster, blame Weber, blame Fisch...etc. Let's just call a spade a spade. The offense as a whole just plain sucked this year. Firing Brewster does not solve anything or Fisch for that matter. Give them an off season to figure this thing out. Plug some more talent in and take a step back from this season and learn. I got a feeling things are going to be a lot different next year. Offensively they had a few key injuries, they have talent, but it's young talent. If you look at dominate teams the starting roster is heavy with upper classmen that have started for two or more seasons and have played together for two or more seasons. This years offense was patch work at best. Too much negativity here. We have a great recruiting class coming in with a brand new stadium. Six wins isn't what this program is striving for but it could have been worse.

I have faith in Weber, he just needed this season to end. His confidence was shot, he had young recievers and they just couldn't get on the same page. It can only get better. Just think in the games we lost this year. If we had an average offense, we may be sitting in the upper tier of the Big Ten. It's the truth. But the fact is we didn't, everyone just needs to relax and this thing will work itself out and Gopher Nation will be in an elite bowl in two or three years.

He's a 22-year-old kid doing the best he can; not a multimillionaire pro player. back off.

exactly - in my mind, that's even worse. having an argument between his coach shows lack of discipline and respect. you bench a kid in a heartbeat for that kind of behavior. weber is a kid that's working his butt off in an offense he hasn't been running for the past few years, that is not nearly as worthy as ripping a kid.

you have to be the worst poster on this board, and it's not even close.

I'm sorry but if I have to watch another season with Weber at QB, I'm gonna rip the ears off of my Gopher hat. Weber has character, toughness and leadership abilities...he just isn't a very good QB and it's time for a change before the masses revolt even further.

I thought Weber was the best player on the field today;

FOR THE HOGEYES!!!!:banghead:

File this as "do as I say, not as I do"

BNG has posted long rants criticizing those who attack the Gopher program, individual Gophers, etc.

But I'm sure BNG will have some half-baked idea of why this post is different and he's wholly justified in this rant.

I'll pre-empt his "rationale" and repeat what he often will say when he really has no response: "yawn"

... :cool02:

For once I agree with Bronko. 35% just doesn't cut it. I watch Jeremiah Masoli for Oregon and wonder why we recruit a guy like David Pittman from a Cali JC and the Ducks get him. You see the other qbs around the country and you can't believe that we're stuck with Weber and a coach that can't let Gray have an entire series to himself.

Weber sucks

Play calling may not have been great and there were coaching mistakes, BUT If Weber does not drop that snap in the red zone and we get a TD and it is a totally different game. Weber's ineptitude has killed us this year, he has got to go not Brewster.

big yawn............a really drawn out yawn

Unfortunately I think the only difference is that it would have been a 12-7 game. I have no faith the offense would have suddenly scored, even field goals. They would have just found another way to dick things up.
