I feel their pain ..... several times over.

Been there, done that, way too many times. I have no interest in doing it again, though I fear we will.

Go Gophers!!

Similar... but there'd be way more bitching and complaining if it were my crew.

Work colleague who is a Leafs fan said he's heard two things from everyone this week,
- My condolences
- Now you know what it feels like to be a Vikings fan

Not enough empty beer bottles on that table.

Toronto=MinnesotaCanada, except Toronto has won far more sports titles. Yet, they have at least as much heartbreak. It's like New York without the Yankees and Giants.

This is how I felt sitting in the Dome for the 4th quarter of he Gophers Michigan game. Watching it all slip away.

In 2004, my wife dropped me off at 10:00 at Old Chicago so I could drink and watch a Freshman Chad Henne's epic final drive to defeat us in Ann Arbor. I then took the light rail to the dome to watch Juan Rincon yield a three run homerun to the Yankees Rueben Sierra to send the pivotal game to extra innings, which we of course lost. I'm eagerly awaiting the opposite of that story.

That was worse because we had the false hope of the Abdoul-Khalk draw stopping the damage.

Not sure which was worse, the Gophers blow-up against Michigan or the Vikings '98 blow-up against Atlanta. Both were absolutely devastating to me as a fan.

Both of those games gave me the proverbial kick in the nuts, and it hurt for days and days.
