love cold games. Huge home field advantage.

just got my tix today. definitely pumped! bring home the victory bell and let's get to 8-2!!!

Weather Underground shows 50% chance of rain with a high of 41. Dave Dahl said a mix of rain, sleet, and snow for PSU at gametime.

Like every game we'll watch the forecast shift and prepare accordingly.

On the safe side I do need to waterproof my boots...

Go Gophers! Beat the Lions!

Perfect football weather, the way the game should be played.

It's not scientific, it's complete guess work. lol. I saw 20 mph winds on accuweather this morning.

Sounds like B1G football weather and especially Golden Gophers football weather.

Totally correct, killme. I have shoveled too many 12" or more of "scattered flurries".

lol. Yep, layer your clothes. You can always peel something off (which can also be fun to watch, depending on who's peeling).

If winds are 20 mph & higher gusts, who does it favor?

I'd say its a draw. We're stronger running the ball and it will make Hackenberg struggle more for PSU but our rush D is suspect at times so they may stick with the run and still be able to gash us more so than us to them

Looks like it is going to be a carbon copy of the weather for the Nebraska game. Not great... but certainly not bad.

It will feel quite a bit cooler than the Nebraska game. Not a terrible day for November but it certainly will feel chilly tomorrow in the shade.

People are becoming pusses. It is all that twitter, face book, crap that makes you sit on your ass. That is why the student section is down. They spend half their time on face book in the warmth of the
dorm room. Get the f-ing phone out of your face and support the Gophers. These kids need to spend about 3 weeks in the Boundry Waters without their damn phone.

Decaf. You need to switch to decaf. Just a suggestion, but go to decaf.

True, but with daylights savings, it'll feel like a noon start. Don't forget your sunscreen.

If you think he needs to switch to decaf , you should head over to the Reid Travis thread...

We have season BB tickets but - we have tickets to tomorrows game - our first game at TCF. Any tried and true suggestions for staying warm? I appreciate the sentiment of a flask, but would like suggestions that give more than the illusion of warmth. We have cushy seats so I know we'll be somewhat protected and able to go inside to warm up.

Layers, lots of layers. Oh and a "cold" drink, not a hot one. Drink a cold drink and your body tries to adjust by "warming" up. Drink a hot drink and your body starts to deal with it by cooling down. It's why so many people in very hot climates drink hot drinks, tea, coffee etc.

This of course is very common knowledge throughout the world - that I learned last summer!

So - do people bring blankets/sleeping bags etc.? This is what I remember from outdoor football. Thanks for the advice on temp of beverage. True it might be - I still like something hot when its cold...

Keep in mind the thread has been going on for over two years. Some of us have too short of attention spans for that kind of thing. It rivals War and Peace.

Decaf! Iceman, I might as well open a can of Zerox. Seriously, you don't think some of the kids now days are too consumed with twitter/Facebook ? 10 years ago you would've had 10,000 students for the game tomorrow; at the Dome or TCF.
