...and I'm excited about the future. This is fun to watch.

completely agree. This looks like a entirely different team than early in the season

Great effort all around today. Great job by the coaches for getting that kind of effort from that team this week. We lost, but an excellent job.

We played very well outside of correctable mistakes. Your right, we have a football team. We really could have and maybe should have won this one. Pumped for next week.

great all around effort well played today. This is the team we been wanting to see all year.

If that game was played at The Bank, it would've been a W.

And just think, they get to play in all the same systems next year. Will make a huge difference not to change coordinators next year.

When was the last time we have seen some steady improvement throughout a year? Granted, we looked good against USC and then fell off the wagon, but I feel like if we look even decent next week (Wisconsin is still a very good football team....), that Kill has shown that coaching is something we have yearned for.

Like the rest of you, I am seeing the obvious signs the team is improving. I am picturing efforts like today with a deeper team of the future. There simply are some positions manned by non-B1G type players right now. The good news is the current team finally has it's collective feet under it now. Football can be so unforgiving and a team can really reel when it's blood is in the water. With solid coaching finally taking hold... We might finally be starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. It is probably a good time to remember Kill's comments about this taking YEARS though. There probably are some more unexpected losses to endure in coming years, but it seems like the light bulb is starting to flicker on it's way to burning bright.

Great job by the coaching staff of getting the most out of each player.

What's really encouraging is hearing "true freshmen" and "redshirt freshmen" announced quite often by the announcers. I'm excited for the future.

incredible how fun it can be to watch competitive football, even in a loss.

I love the new phrase, "In Kill We Trust" that one of you came up with - love this team, love the coaching staff and love the way that the people in Gopher Hole are showing their support for this team! How very non-Minnesota Fan-esque of us!

If you look at the stats, they were dead even - a great effort and unexpected (again).

Mind Boggling

It's hard to believe what we saw today. And it's almost impossible to make sense of it. We played the #2 defense in the country and several times picked them apart. Gray often had plenty of time, and our receivers were often wide open. We had several additional opportunities to exploit their secondary, had Q thrown a little better later in the game or seen a few other open receivers. That game was ours for the taking. Eliminate the roughing-the-kicker penalty and we may have written a different ending. Given the start to the season, the joy of watching a game like this unfold was off-the-chart. Sometimes it's really special and satisfying to be the underdog. In fact, for me, the game today combined with the Iowa win made the whole season feel worthwhile. I guess I'm easy to please.

That or call MSU for doing the same thing to Orseske earlier in the game. But I definitely agree, this game was a lot of fun, we scored first, we held the lead for most of the first half, it would have been amazing if we could have put it away, but despite the loss, this was a fun game. Although McKnight was a big factor in this game, I still like our chances of beating this team next year at the Bank.

It was very fun to watch the Gophers today! The defense was playing amazing. Their pursuit to the ball was excellent. It wasn't there before. Gray is the difference on offense. Got yelled at by Weber people. Got yelled at by Shortell people. It's nice more people are seeing what Gray can mean to us once he gets comfortable playing the position again.

We have not arrived. We need more players. But these last two games and the USC game
illustrate that we can be competitive. Hopefully we compete to finish the season. I'm hopeful we will. The future has more than hope again. It has some evidence.

The last two weeks we have been a Big Ten Football team. Watching the game unfold it demonstrated to me that last week was no fluke. IMO this game was really set up for us get beaten soundly. Teams like MSU don't have two bad games in a row. We just had an emotional win. Usually that would lead to a letdown on our part. I thought we played better today than last week. I left the Nebraska game seeing a difference (baby steps). I like the trend.

I was at that 58-0 drubbing in Ann Arbor 5 weeks ago, guys. (In the Michigan student section, no less!)

We are SO much better now compared to that day or the NMSU game or NDSU, etc.

Gonna be a long winter/spring! ;)
