I think we will (win or lose) not have to wait until next year but see what happins in the Bowl game. Will we see less confusion on the field? Will we be more disciplined? Will we see a positive direction? If so maybe the Spring and pre season practices next year will go along way to move the Gophers toward the goals that Brewster has set.

If the 15 days of pre bowl practice do not show any results at all then I do not have too much hope for the what the coaches can accomplish next year either.

It will not be good if we fall on our faces in the bowl game. I just want to see some type of improvement from the offense.

No matter what happens in the bowl game, we can know that we will give 'tremendous' effort giving us reason to be 'very very' excited about 2010.

Me too. I hope we win, but I just want to see something positive out of the offense.
That would make me feel a lot better heading into next season. For an offense that
looked so good against a good MSU team, we really fell apart at the end of the season.
I still can't believe we couldn't score a single offensive TD vs. South Dakota St. but Montana
somehow found a way to score 61 on them....I just can't figure that one out at all.

This type of logic is asanine. It's the same reason why we beat Purdue and they beat tOSU, and tOSU kicked the crap out of us. It's the same reason why we beat NW and NW beat Iowa, and Iowa beat us.

Different things happen in different games. Do you think the SDSU defense was better than the MSU defense? I don't, it was just a god awful game for us.

My reasoning behind that is there really is no excuse that our offense could
not score on SDSU while Montana scored 61 on them. That's just embarrassing and it's
inexcusable. This wasn't the Pittsburgh Steelers steel curtain defense that blanked us, it
was a defense that was exposed mightily by an offensive coordinator who knew what the hell
he was doing. It sends up a major red flag if you are paying attention.

I'd settle for being able to send in a plunge play without burning two timeouts. Sending in a play that isn't utterly (looking for a synonym for a politically incorrect word that starts with "R") would be better.
