They both gave generously themselves, pledging $1 million at the onset of the fund-raising campaign and close to another $1 million this summer.

The Lindahls’ later gift provides for finishing the interior wall around the playing field in brick, creating a handsome space that the couple has designated as a tribute to President Bruininks and athletics director Joel Maturi. They are effusive in their praise of the leadership that both men have shown in bringing football back to campus. Their high regard for President Bruininks is what motivated them to be so deeply involved in the stadium. “We have such admiration for this man, and I do feel he’s one of the very few presidents of this University who could make this happen. This is his legacy and we’re very, very appreciative of the opportunity to be a part of it.”

Just thought I would throw that out there as I know many of us feel that the brick field-wall was kind of the "cherry on top of the sundae" in terms of the design.

Thank you to all who donated to make the new home of Gopher football a reality!

I toured TCF today and came away impressed with everything. There were several of us that commented about the brick by the field. What a great touch to a great stadium. Thank you Lindahl's

Definitely

a big thank you to the Lindahls.

Not to take away from them, but there should be lots of thanks going around to supporters such as these - the Lindahls, the Shakopee tribe, etc.

Where do we find the list of supporters? Anyone?

I would also like thank the Lindahls. I'm a long time lurker, but the need to give a personal thank you, caused me to register. I would also like to thank all the donors but the Lindahl's gift moved the stadium from great to near perfect.

John & Nancy...if you read this then THANK YOU!

Thanks to the Lindahls for their contribution. We had a chance to walk around the exterior of the stadium Tuesday night. It's very impressive.

One of the best threads since I have been active on this board. Thank you to all the Leaders and all the generous supporters of the new Golden Gopher On Campus Stadium.

Ditto to all of the above!!!! I can't wait!!!

I also had the chance to tour the stadium on Tuesday night. As I drove home, I thought a great deal about all of the leaders...the President, AD, regents, head coaches, Alumni director, board, and leadership, legislative leaders, all the donors, the architects, designers, fundraisers, booster clubs, and all the behind the scenes people that are far too many to mention (or even know) that worked so hard to make that place the palace that it is and is going to be. I am extremely grateful to all of these people. Their efforts will impact the University, the state, and the lives of thousands of fans, players, parents, students, professors, alumni, etc. for generations. It is impossible to overstate the impact that these people have had and saying THANK YOU really still doesn't seem enough.

And at the very top of this is Robert Bruininks. If he had not become President we would not have an on campus stadium at all, let alone the unbelievable facility that we do.
