Nebraska is likely, Wisconsin we'll see. Hopefully the rivalry factor will be big in that one.

Wisconsin owns Nebraska. I wouldn't put too much into this game. Nebraska really just sucks against Wisconsin.

Nebraska is better than they are today, and Wisconsin isn't as good.
 


I certainly feel better about NE next week. Hopefully Iowa can bring WI back down to earth next week.

Was just thinking the exact same thing considering that we own the head to head with Iowa. Also, happy to see that Wisconsin has to travel to Iowa for the game.

Starting to froth? I thought he was always frothing at the mouth?! Also, heard that it was what most attracted his wife to him when he was courting her. She had spent a lot of time on a dairy farm near cows. ;)
 

You bet we can. Nebraska, as usual, is one of the most over-rated teams in the country.
 



It will be key to get a quick start against Nebraska. Shut the 80,000 fans up quickly and make them remember that their season is over.
 

We most definitely can beat Nebraska. It is on the road so it will be a tough match, but they are beatable.

Every game is a new battle. Look at Northwestern as just one of many examples, terrible against Iowa and a miraculous against Notre Dame. Who knows what will happen next week against Nebraska or the following week against Wisconsin. We are at least still in it and can finish no worse that 4-4 in the Big Ten.
 

maybe Cobb can have a big day given what MG3 did today, never seen anything like it--and against a decent team, I would have been suspect on his performance if it was against N ILL or some other garbage competition

True, but we've also been perennially awful for most of the decade while Nebraska has been contending or winning division titles since they've been in the conference.

But you're right.
 



After our loss to Ill. on the road, MN fans cannot assume we will go toe to toe against any team. We should be able to go toe to toe with Neb. and Wis., but you cannot assume that is how MN will play.

Neby at home and I'd feel good. Very tough win in Lincoln. I have my tix to the Madison game and cant imagine how great it would be to play for the axe and the division! Wow how I want them to beat the Huskers next week.

Huh? There are upsets every week of good teams. That is why they play the games. It is not just Minnesota who lost to a team they should not have beaten. Who was that team Ohio State lost to earlier this year?

Exactly. Your entire post is spot on. "Huh??" was my internal response to his rebuttal as well. i.e. See Northwestern vs. Notre Dame. Arizona State vs. Oregon State. Ohio State vs. Virginia Tech, Georgia vs. Florida, etc.
