Too many radical changes to the offense. The spread was a very radical change, but Brewster seems to think he could recruit the team into being able to run it. Firing the offensive coordinator after 2 years and making another radical change to the offense just reset everything all over again. Brewster could have hired another spread coach if he didn't think that Dunbar was up to it. But making another radical change to the offense was an admission that the spread was a mistake in moving to the spread in the first place.
Not a good situation. I don't know if we can make yet another wholesale change to the offense, and we don't want to have to pay another offensive coordinator. On the other hand, will the offense come around next year and at least be competent?
