wcco tv reporting Game at TCF

Well, I got a free ticket to this game a couple months ago from a Vikes season ticket holder. Kind of intrigued to see where my seats will be for the game. I'll be wearing my $5 Curtis Enis Bears jersey with pride at the Bank.

My friend Slow Dave has season tiks for Vikes and Gophers. Just got off the phone with him........total panic mode, too many questions. Of course I had no answers.

He owns a funeral home so I try not to spend much time with him these days as I'm getting older.

Glad to see the Vikes playing outside in Minnesota where they belong. I'd love to score tickets to this game.

So cool - what a great national stage for the U and the Bank.

Plus a nice way to cap a bad season for the Vikings. Should be a lot of fun.

Love this. Wish the Vikes had a good year and this game was for a playoff spot. Still MNF at the bank? Love it. Share a stadium with the Vikes - permanent? No way don't want.

What about the Cade McNown jersey?

Bear down, Chicago Bears.

Wow. I hope we make a lot of money off of this. Otherwise, it would be pretty sh1tty to beg for money for a college stadium and then let pampered athletes use it.

Said another way, the white trash will be residing in the home I helped pay for.

I need to find my Cade McNown white Bears jersey. Just wondering where in the hell my seats are gonna be for this game. Have no clue how in the hell they plan on deciding who's going and who's not. My buddy has season tix in the lower level around the 30. Wonder what the hell the Vikes will do.

DA BEARS!

I don't know how but I am getting tickets to see this.

Thank god we never have to worry about this again.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. The GENIUSES in the legislature will probably start talking about how well it worked and that they could spend much less to expand TCF than it would be to build the Vikes a stadium.

The likelihood of TCF becoming a shared facility permanently is infinitesimal. There are too many issues that can't be ironed out. The whole point of the Vikings getting a new stadium is that Wilf can monetize EVERYTHING. With a shared TCF, the Vikings would lose out on parking revenue. Then there's the questions about what would happen with concession revenue and ad revenue. Expanding the seating helps you out, but there aren't enough premium seating options/suites. And everywhere you look there is a block M and maroon and gold. There are over 1900 Block M's in TCF...how's that going to play for the Vikes? Plus, the locker room facilities would be shared. Assuming that's not a dealbreaker, there is no way the Vikes have a locker room with a giant M in the floor and ceiling. The visitor locker rooms aren't up to NFL levels.

Most importantly, its the U's property and they don't have to share if they don't want to.

I don't care how dumb so of the MN state legislators are. This isn't something to be concerned about.

Will they allow beer at the game? Probably not. That alone will make for a different Vikings crowd.

The best part of all of this....all of the NFL fans who have been accustomed to sitting inside the teflon, will see how much fun it can be to get bundled up and be outside in the cold, (especially when we beat Iowa). Gonna need a lot of sips of bourbon to stay warm for this one.

Might also introduce some new people to TCF -- future ticket buyers.

64000 vs 50800 capacity
should be fun watching how seats are allocated

I would guess the Vikes will offer up refunds to those who don't want to go to the game. My guess, there will be plenty of these people, which will make the task of deciding who stays and who goes much easier. After that it probably comes down to who pays what and how long you have had tickets.

I can't find this year's numbers, but last year the Vikings only had 55,000 season tickets sold. The rest were single game tickets. Now assuming that number is the same this year, the Vikings only have to worry about a few 3200 tickets. My guess, is not every season ticket holder is going to want to go. Will they bring in/request temp bleachers to put in front of the scoreboard? Maybe.

A better question is: Who gets to sit in the Band section? Do you rope off that section and let diehards stand there (there are rows of benches missing). Rope off that section and let the fans use the stairs to get to food and bathrooms. Do you put photographers in there? Do you leave it empty? Or do you put a big platform for a camera in there?

According to the Chicago Tribune the Bears signed Simoni Lawrence to the Practice Squad. Ready to return home!

whoever sits in my seats better not leave a mess.

Now I really want tickets to this game. Done with exams that day. If I don't find a ticket, I am gonna sit outside the open end and just watch the big board. BEAR DOWN CHICAGO BEARS!!!! (Hence the moniker!)

I'm positive the Vikings will build another dome. I would guess it will be retractable, but who knows. If Minneapolis has hopes of hosting another Final Four or Super Bowl, they will build a dome.
