Way do the referees continue to stop the ball short for us?

Rewatching the game, I don't think it was close but DT got that first down at the 10 minute mark of the second quarter near the 50 yard line. Also on the touchdown that Drake ran the ref were going to stop him short until he popped up so deep into the end zone you had to remove a band member to see him. Why are they spotting us so poorly and giving other teams 1st downs liberally or is it just me?

I've noticed it this year too. Like a yardage tariff.

I feel like they’re trying to hurry up spotting the ball now and relying on the booth to correct their snap judgement spots.

It’s a mess out there.

I’ve even seen them start moving the sticks when the.ball us clearly behind the line to gain.

They’re YOLOing spots now.

I think this is why Fleck was not going to go for the first down on 4th and inches. He couldn't trust the refs to do their job correctly.

When did we have 4th and inches? I remember 4th and 2 near midfield.
