And in my humble opinion, I don't think he would be able to start for Minnesota. He is very crafty and intelligent but he is also tiny! The whole SDSU team looked pedestrian in warm ups (nothing like a legit D 1 team) and Wolters stood out in no way. If I didn't know who he was, there would have been no way to tell he scores 20 pts a game. The Jacks are a darn good team and he is the leader -- but not because he is so much better than everyone else. First, he shoots a lot and his shot is quite awkward. Second he shoots a lot. And lastly, he shoots a lot.

It was strange to see a team that physically looks so unintimidating kick the crap out of the competition like the Jacks did against mighty UMKC.

Lewis Jackson and Tim Frazier are tiny also.

Yeah, but those two are lightning-quick and super athletic. Wolters is a helluva player, but his raw athleticism does not compare to Lew Jack or Frazier.

If the part in bold is true (it is), why does what comes after it matter?

Not sure where the tiny comment comes from - Wolters is a legit 6'4. He does shoot a lot,but he also leads the Summit in assists in addition to being the second leading scorer. And by the way,Ricky Rubio probably wouldn't pass your appearance test either.

First, you can be a helluva player and still not be able to start for Minnesota. Second, I disagree. Wolters is maybe 6-3 in shoes and he has a slight frame.

So he's 6'3"? I hate the "in shoes" measurements. It's not like they won't be playing in shoes.

So 6'3" qualifies as a tiny college point guard these days? Good to know.

He is a legit 6'-4" (I know this) pg that is a very good handler, shooter and passer. Rodney is 3" taller and only 10lbs heaver. I didn't exactly see the Gophers pushing him around, so the point about his frame is flat out stupid.

I always want to know how tall these guys are in high heels.

But then I'll be wondering why these guys are in high heels.

I only wonder if they have big toe problems while playing basketball in high heels. There is nothing worse than "high heel toe" aka "turf toe".

So I'm new to the GopherHole world, but I like to consider myself fairly up-to-date on the things going on with the Gophers. However, this is the first time I have heard anything about Nate Wolter. Is this just a rumor, or something to be taken seriously?

It's not even a rumor, it's just BigGopherFan's opinion that if he was on the team, he wouldn't start. It's been kind of an ongoing argument on the board.

Sounds good! I just feel like I need to be as updated as possible on current/possible Gopher moves, so I just figured I would ask. Thanks!
