was my first bowl and MN seems to have had in the past they don't travel well. This didn't seem the case this year- -any other first time bowl attendees. It was great to escape the winter for at least a few days.

Most Gopher bowls have been lower tier after mediocre seasons, sometimes in marginal tourist spots. The Outback is an upper tier bowl on New Years Day versus a good SEC opponent in a good tourist spot. It hits the trifecta.

BTW. When the Gophers made the Sun Bowl in 1999 after a long bowl-free drought, fans traveled well there too even though El Paso isn't exactly a top tourist spot (though the food and margaritas are outstanding).

I've been to:
2002 Music City (W vs Arkansas)
2006 Insight (L vs Texas Tech.....still have nightmares)
2018 Quick Lane (W vs G-Tech)

....couldn't swing the trip this year. Really bummed.
