Rachel Maddow showed video last night of Bucky leaving the field when the Badgers scored a TD for the Badger's 75th & 76th points. Six minutes later a more refreshed Bucky returned to do the 76 & 83 push-ups.

Was there a Bucky swap?

I know the Gophers switch Goldy's at halftime.

Mascots doing push-ups = lame. Especially when Goldy has to wait through timeout advertising and the ensuing kickoff to do push-ups, and everyone is sitting there counting instead of making noise for the defense. Wish we would get rid of it.

At least Illinois has Marines doing push-ups immediately after the score. 1) the timing is fine, and 2) they're legitimate push-ups. Watch the Oregon Duck do "push-ups" sometime - my 85-year-old grandmother could do them better.

I remember the Gophers playing Ohio in 1982, and then they got to 57 points, Goldy was doing pushups on his back against the air because he couldn't do any more real pushups.

Switch Goldy's? No, no, no... Bucky's just a guy in a suit. Goldy is REAL!

I was really impressed with Penn State. The nittany lion did legit one-armers.

What did they do, change the popcorn in his popcorn box?

I believe they switch Bucky's each quarter. Had there been one Bucky for the entire game he would have done roughly 573 push ups ( I am recalling the number from an article from earlier today, it could be slightly off). Either way that is a lot of push ups for a normal student in a costume to do in a game.
