And here are the D-1 selections:

Sam Dekker (Becky recruit) was named Mr. Basketball of Wisconsin.
I'd just like to thank you for coming on here to share information about recruits, not troll. For those who'd like to see more of Thomas, the below link is to the D2 state championship game:

Thomas' effort in the D2 championship game was outstanding, but the best performance of the state tournament belonged to Dekker. He scored 40 in the D5 championship game in leading Sheboygan Lutheran to a 1-point win. For anyone who cares, the link is to the shot he hit to close the state title game, which gave him 12 points in the last 60 seconds or so.

Is D5 the largest or smallest class?
From my Wisconsin sources that were down in Madison this weekend, sounds like Dekker is the real deal (unfortunately). But also heard that Thomas is a "frickin stud." Also got the information that Thomas is leaning ISU because of the Mayor...
I think that a player like Thomas is exactly what the Gophers need. They need a guy that, when he catches the ball, he could pull it from 25, or put it on the floor and shoot off the dribble. Pleasantly, Austin Hollins has begun to do this a bit more reliably (do we remember his shooting struggles from last year?) I know that Blake was a special talent and could shoot it better than anyone in recent Gopher history, but I would love to see a player with that kind of talent shooting the ball with a really high basketball IQ in maroon and gold, not red/yellow or red/white.

Yes Dekker is the real deal, nationally ranked top 25. However, Thomas would be a steal for the Gophers! I would love to be able to watch him every week in the cities, kid is extremely talented and well rounded. He is a kid that would continue to get better every year (like he did in HS) and is an extremely hard worker. Wally and Thomas would be a fantastic 2/3 lineup.
Well then I think you're going to be disappointed.I was thinking the same thing. Wally drives to the basket, flips back to Thomas for the wide open 3. Thomas looks like a more athletic and versatile Hoff. If push came to shove, I wonder if he could fill up some minutes at PG. I see Thomas as a must get.
UWOle has been saying it's probably ISU or WI. ISU was a favorite along with us before WI offered and I think WI bumped us down to third. Are we really in the running for Thomas? I know Marcus had a tweet a week or so ago that said he was seriously considering us, but I have to imagine he ends up in Madison. I know that we offered him before Wisconsin, but I just find it hard that he comes here. I really hope I'm wrong.
