I was out in the sticks, with no radio or TV, and I come back to the world, log in, see the final score (Yes!), and lo and behold...

This place is like a morgue.

Come on people, we just beat a desperate team in freezing weather.

Nobody with a brain expected the team to be all that good in the Big Ten this year. We are 2-1. Until we have Big Ten title expectations (meaning we have Big Ten title-level talent throughout our roster) how can everyone be so upset with a win like this?

Don't throw a parade or dance in the streets, but can't we at least be level-headed and somewhat appreciative of the W?

I agree, Virginia Tech has won plenty of games like this over the years, big special teams plays and turnovers....

Haven't you heard? Beamerball is simply code for "we actually only won by 7 because all those other points don't count" or something like that.

I was really happy with the win. We ran the ball. The coaches ran an effective plan. Some young guys showed some nice things. BPT finally made a big play. I thought it was solid. Not because of stats, but because we played the game the way we needed to to win it.

The voice of reason, what a nice sound. We won when we needed to win. We capitalized on Purdue's mistakes, we found a way to win. We didn't get lucky, we found a way to win. It worked.

How long before thailleagle chimes in on this thread about how much he hates Weber? :D
