VT Game Preview

Here's a piece put up on VT fan site called Tech Sideline that has a strong focus on recruiting, NIL, and the Portal and how it's impacting football but of course VT in particular. Not a short read but you'll see this is not lazy reporting and gives a good picture of both sides of the ball for both teams. Probably what's lacking is any discussion of special teams but can't have everything.

There are 4-5 writer predictions and all go to Minnesota. They believe our D will show up and MN will not be hit by opt-outs for whatever reason as hard as VT. Pretty much all predicting we break 30 points but VT does not make it to 20. The Billds would take that for sure.

By the way, now in Atlanta and we'll hit 65 degrees here today. The weather will change tomorrow with a cold front and Friday in Charlotte looks slightly chillier but just fine for football in January. No rain thank goodness.

Bowl games are always impossible to predict for the Gophers because of all the cloak and dagger missing info on opt outs under the Fleck tradition.

I know VT has a lot of missing guys but we know next to nothing about the Gophers. Well, we do know there is a tradition of the Gophers winning bowl games under Fleck so I guess I’ll go with that but forgive me if I haven’t completely convinced myself of a victory.
