Complete fail of logic. If Dems had true “control” of all of this, why are Republicans still getting on the order of just under half the nation’s votes. it’s almost like Rrepublicans own about half of the power and half of the messaging. I suppose if only Republicans had the top cable propaganda station, owned most of the politicalmemes that float around Facebook, owned 1/6 of local TV stations and pushed Trumpist propaganda on their local news, most of our pastors and priests, had RW memes pushed all over Twitter, or controlled all of talk radio airwaves, maybe they’d have have at least a tiny messaging source. Poor Republicans!!

you honestly believe their ridiculous bullshit spreads to all of you in a vacuum. pure nuttery.
I’m not the one whining here.

Wow. They must have picked that little trick up from Illinois DemAOCrats.

But frankly, it’s nothing compared to Illinois shenanigans. They’ll only pick up one seat. Illinois has worked their redistricting out to pick up 3 or 4 seats over the last couple decades.
Texas, Florida, NC, Michigan, WI, TN, AL, GA, AZ......YEAHBUT Illinois!

You saw the beloved ThirtyFiveEight report.

Are you going to deny that the redistricting hasn’t favored the Dems?

Large metro, large states have the advantage of having more potential to gerrymander to a greater extent. Dem legislatures in these states can have a far greater impact than Red states with one or two lesser populated cities, like Tennessee.

No Republican legislature state looks like the rigged districts of the Chicago metro/suburban area. None.

Did you miss this part of the story?

Overall, redistricting hasn’t drastically changed the House landscape so far — but that’s good news for Republicans, since the old maps already tilted the House playing field in their favor. Some of the most heavily biased maps this cycle have been enacted by Republicans in North Carolina and Ohio, but they are also so extreme that they run the risk of being overturned in court. There are already lawsuits alleging that they are partisan or racial gerrymanders.

ThirtyFiveEight?

It's favored the Dems? Please. It favors the R's slightly less than 2010, but still massively favors them overall. 2010 was such a massive gerrymander they couldn't top it and over-played their hand in a few places. But they still net massively more seats overall. The Dems must win the generic vote by 6-8% to have any chance of getting the majority.

Get full power while more than 50% of the peopole vote against you. The GQP way.

The DemAOCrats best chance to win the majority is stop pushing radical lefties policies and an agenda. I’m confident that can’t bring themselves to do that.

What Radical Agenda are they pushing currently? Stopping state GQP's from stealing the next election? Oh no. How radical!

You bitched about the R gerrymandering for months. Once the data was presented you suddenly started bitching about gerrymandering from over a decade ago and justifying the current D gerrymandering. Nah, you aren't a hypocrite at all.

Maybe we should check what 'Saint Stinky' has to say?

Too Late. I read somewhere that all the suppression virtually assures a R victory - and if the votes don't go that way they'll just ignore the vote and appoint someone. Sounds reasonable. Totally not bat sh!t crazy conspiracy stuff. Super level headed view.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that the most fraud during the 2020 presidential election was committed by Republicans.

Michigan AG asks feds to investigate fake GOP electors - similar complaints filed in 7 other states

Michigan's attorney general is asking federal prosecutors to open a criminal investigation into 16 Republicans who submitted false certificates stating they were the state's presidential electors despite Joe Biden's 154,000-vote victory in 2020. Dana Nessel, a Democrat, disclosed Thursday that her office had been evaluating charges for nearly a year but decided to refer the matter to the U.S. attorney in western Michigan. "Under state law, I think clearly you have forgery of a public record, which is a 14-year offense, and election law forgery, which is a five-year offense," she told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. But the Justice Department, she said, is best suited to probe and potentially prosecute.

Nessel alleged a "coordinated effort" among Republican parties in several battleground states including Michigan to push so-called alternate slates of electors with fake documents. She said she wants federal authorities to make an evaluation for possible charges. "Obviously this is part of a much bigger conspiracy," Nessel said.

American Oversight, a watchdog group, last March obtained certificates submitted by Republicans in seven states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. New Mexico and Pennsylvania Republicans added a caveat saying it was done in case they were later recognized as duly elected, qualified electors.

When Michigan's electors cast 16 votes for Biden in December 2020 following the certification of his 2.8 percentage point win, a separate group that included some Republican state House members tried to enter the state Capitol with Donald Trump's Electoral College candidates. They were turned away by state police but claimed in the certificates that they met "in the State Capitol." The invalid certificates also were mailed to the U.S. Senate, Benson, and the federal court for western Michigan. Two Republicans did not sign the documents and were replaced.

There are complaints pending in Wisconsin alleging that GOP electors in that swing state committed fraud by submitting the false paperwork. Biden won Wisconsin by just under 21,000 votes, a result that has withstood recounts, lawsuits and investigations into fraud. Complaints have been filed with the bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission and the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. Neither has announced publicly about any action taken in response. Another complaint against Andrew Hitt, an attorney who was chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party at the time, has been filed with the agency that handles complaints against lawyers.

In Pennsylvania, Trump electors signed the documents in an office of a Republican marketing consultant two blocks from the state Capitol. The state Republican Party said then that the Trump electors met at the request of the campaign and described it as a "conditional vote." Bernie Comfort, Trump's Pennsylvania chairperson, said it was "procedural" in case the election was overturned. She claimed it was "in no way an effort to usurp or contest the will of the Pennsylvania voters," even though Trump and his allies were pressuring lawmakers and courts at the time to do just that.

Howie no longer cares about the spirit of how bills should pass. Any loop-hole will do.
Joe "the uniter" Biden. What a legacy.
I'm not saying I disagree with you on the gist of your post, but is "our number one priority is to block <his> agenda" a good legacy?

So the Republicans should let Biden’s agenda pass so he can cement his legacy which would be good for Republican’s legacy?

That is quite the interesting take. 🤔

Not convinced this will work, but I bet Mitch is upset about now.
Fast forward 3 years to when Rs have narrow majorities in congress and own the White House, I’m trying to think of how much crying there will be when Mitch uses these same tools. Probably similar to filibuster whining.

I think it's pretty clear that there is no consensus on the idea to carve out an exception to the filibuster. In fact, as far as I know, the idea is dead. So you can stop painting the entire left side of the aisle with the same brush. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Right now, you are quite obviously part of the problem.

And spoof no longer cares about Americans having the rights, and ability, to vote.

Add shameless to fraud.

Hey Sidekick, care to tell all of GH which Americans who legally have the right and ability to vote in this country no longer have those rights?

Can you name just one person?

Well, SCOTUS blocked this one. Ds have blocked other ones. Is it possible it is just a bad agenda?

The propoganda around this voter topic from the Ds is the ultimate in nonsense and distraction. Its got to the point where someone can claim reducing the number of polling places in a county with 5,000 voters that is 70% R (and placing that voting place in the most populated city, in the middle of the county, where the population is over 50% minority) is "racist" and "suppressing D votes" --- and the #Sheep just keep running with it.

Point out the lunacy of that and you don't want people to vote. Assume people can drop off ballots in a blue USPS mail-box and you don't want people to vote. Maybe there was a time that Ds could be honest, but that time certainly isn't now. They don't even care anymore that the POTUS lies daily. Wow, has the party fallen and become desperate.
