It's like Minnesota is on there twice, considering the USC throwback is almost identical to the Gophers, just a little redder.

I LOVE the Gophers unis in this poll. If you don't vote for Illinois in this particular case, you're doing it wrong. Those unis scream throwback in every way possible.

I picked Minnesota of course because those were clean and we won a national title in those back in the day. However, if the Gophers weren't on the list, I would have voted Colorado State, those were nice.

Also, sorry, but no on Illinois. It may be a throwback, but that doesn't mean it looks particularly good.

The horrible helmet for Illinois drops them in the rankings for me. It's cartoony and looks bad.

Ok, I need a little more insight from the Illinois voting folks. What is the standout here? To me the collar looks weird (like it's divided into sections?), the helmet with the leather design looks kind of tacky and I've never been a fan of big logos on the front of the jersey like that. Also the shade of orange (?) isn't that appealing.

I went right past CSU as I thought it was Miami's uni.

I voted for Illinois not because it looks good, but because it truly reflects the throwback, IMO, more than any of the others. I like the helmet as it seems to be a pretty good comp to the leather helmet worn years ago.
