Vitto Brown video

I got to this video of his through the one you linked, and I have to say he looks better than I thought he would. He would be pretty undersized at the 4, but he seems to have a decent handle on the ball. His midrange shot seems OK, and it looks like he can drive fairly well.

I definitely wouldn't be disappointed if we got him, though I know this is just a highlight video.

I dont see why people are always saying this guy is undersized to play the 4. He is not any shorter then Trevor M when he was in high school but trevor had a stronger build. give Brown another year and he will grow a inch and with some time in the weight room he could put on 20 pounds. With this added strength he could be a stud on D with his wingspan and his athletic ability. I think comparable to Trevor.

He also seems to have a above average mid range game for a bug guy which could make him difficult for other bigs to guard.

The video that minneStoa put on gave even a better look. It was good to see how the kid could handle the ball and dribble pretty well on the perimeter. One thing you also see from these videos....the defense played in HS is so so so far behind what is expected in D1 college.

What? There is no guarentee he going to add 20 pounds and grow an inch. That should not be assumed. We are flirting with a very marginal recruit here and living off the hope that everything falls into place for him to be a "decent contributor" some day. I'm not happy with this (possible) pick-up only because we haven't inked a cornerstone recruit for 2012 or 2013 -- just roll player.

Wisconsin and Tennessee also offered were not the only school to offer him. They both have better basketball programs than Minnesota do so they're wrong for offering to right?

Whats a roll player do? Joking aside, obviously he has some limitations, but he is your typical Tubby recruit. He is athletic, raw, and appears to be a decent defender and looks to have a solid midrange jumper.

He doesn't even mention Minnesota in this article, not sure he is headed our way.

Any other visits planned for the near future?

I’m not actually sure which ones, but I think I’m definitely going to one in Wisconsin, maybe Iowa State, Kansas State, and then the last two would be Michigan or Michigan State. I’m not exactly sure yet.”
